[Audrey's PoV]

I first met the refugees from the North as the Queen officially announced new citizens of Divinity's Reach. I paid no mind, figured all I need to focus now is just my fighting abilities. Father has been strict towards me lately, nagging about how I should have already learned the basics in order to take his place as a Council of Divinity's Reach.I despise it. Whatever politics and so on is a huge jumbled up mess to me. Freedom is never there which made my old man to the person he is today.

"Audrey Schwind are you listening to me, young lady?!" , I rolled my eyes and glanced at the fine clothed man in his 40s in front of me. "Yes, Father. Unfortunately I have an appoinment that day. Mother has gave me permissions to take a leave for it, I suppose you have nothing against her choices?" The man opened his mouth to protest but closes. He loved his wife so much more than his own preferences and options. "Fine. Just stay safe and manage your time properly." That he turned his heels and headed back to his office.

I grinned and make my own way out from the confining structured building.Thinking just how much this foolish emotion; 'love' could blind people.

How hard is it to have him understand; I want to fight for our future. I want to protect us, our people. Just having the thought of staying in an office binded with endless of paperwork makes me bitter. Yes it is still helping our people. But, there are soldiers out there sacrificing their lives.

The thoughts are bearable.

Slamming the doors of a tavern, I threw my sword aside a nearby empty table and slumped on a chair with a loud thud. People on other tables turned their glances at me but me being clouded with anger; I don't care. My breathing was rapid, my heart won't stop pounding at all.

Petra who was serving beer quickly have her task done and walked towards my table with a concerning expression. "Audrey...Is there anything I could help out?" I sensed her words nearly stammered. Blamed myself for intimidating her. I took another breath in and answered. "I apologize for the rough entrance. Just bring me a beer and I'll be fine." She bit her lip and nodded. "If you say so..."

It seems like Andrew isn't present at the tavern at all. Perhaps he's out at Shaemoor to hear about how's the delivery ongoing to Beetlestone. The usual amount of people in the tavern today sure kept the staff busy.

I scanned my eyes around, hoping to find something distracting to keep me away from the issue I had earlier. Amusingly, a mop of silver haired caught my eye. I admit, I was awe'd.

Petra came back with two mugs of beer, saying the other is on the house. Before she heads off to serve another table, I held onto her wrist and yanked her over. "Whoa Audrey you need to soften up. I thought my wrist is going to have a fracture." I quickly apologized and asked about my main point. She turned over to take a glance at the beauty then faced me with a serious expression. "I suppose I could tell you about this." She paused for a moment and opened her mouth to continue. But was interrupted which I clicked my tongue on whoever cut our conversation short. "Excuse me for interrupting your conversation. Petra, may I know when Andrew will be back soon? As I have to go over to the florist to purchase some flowers."

Oh. She's a beaut up this close. It beat rapidly again; In a good way this time. Like y'know there's this shiny effect on someone your eyes really feast on? Ya......that's sorta what I'm experiencing right now.

"Probably an hour from now. I know it won't take you long either. If he's back early I'll tell him about it. Stay safe and don't get lost, Yuki." Her ponytail swayed behind her as she nodded on the brunette's words. She then grabbed a basket and headed out towards the exit of the tavern.

"Ok, that's close. Now where was I....Audrey? Audrey....? By the Six, Audrey hello??" My eyes still glued onto the tavern entrance. The twin tail brunette blinked and tried to hold a grasp of the situation. Then, she smiled with a dimple on her right cheek. "Ah.....I see what's going on. You are like totally overdosed and here I thought the iron heart Audrey can't go head over heels for that someone." I lightly hit her arm playfully and took in a mouthful of beer. She laughed and hit me back too.

Putting the mug down, I replied. "I remember the hair colour. She's from the North, isn't she?" Petra said nothing but nodded. "Well, I guess I would certainly be back. Ah, before I go. If one of the guards ever drop by and ask if I have been here, please say no or something negative. Please." The other blinked and just nodded. Confused on my matters but knowing her for so long, I'd trust her actions.

With my sword buckled up, I start to think about florist stalls I know around the city. Something about her is interesting.
