I sat in the middle of the room. I felt a mix of emotions; very few of them I could identify. My eyes began to overflow as my confusion at my emotions increased. I pulled my knees up to my chest and stared at a wall which was covered in fresh deep red paint. It was the only wall that was fully painted, the other walls had splatters but had remained a graying white. At the base of the red wall lay a body. As I stared at the body, I cried more. After sitting in the same spot for another few minutes I crawled over to the body.

I shot up out of bed, dripping sweat. The sun came pouring through my windows hurting my eyes as they slowly adjusted to the light difference. I pulled my knees up to my chest, rested my head on them and allowed myself to weep.
