"Lola"whispered my mom I grinned as I woke up "I see you've had a good dream" I did, but I lied and said "Eh..." "So are you ready to be home alone for the first time with your brothers?" in my head I thought yes please go. but instead I smiled and said "I am all for it" my dad walked in and said "She's a mere child!" I frowned along with my mother "Jeff you know she can't go with us!" "I know"my dad grimaced as he kissed my forehead and hugged me tight among with mom. "Bye mom bye dad!" My brothers and I shouted "We love you!" they cried as my parents turn the corner.

I jumped straight on to the couch until my three older brothers pushed me off and stole the tv remote "Hey!" I shouted "You can't do that!" "And why not? Your only five years old" they laughed. They told me to call my best friend Miguel and play with him for a while, since we lived in a mansion it was hard to get all around the house so mommy had a man put in an elevator. I called Miguel "Hello this is Miguel speaking" I smiled "Hi Miguel!" "Lola! Nice to talk to you again you know we should have a play date today!" "That's exsactly what I was thinking!" "Cool, be there in a minute!"

I took the elevator down to the first floor when the door bell rang I opened the door and Miguel was standing there smiling. We then did our secret hand-shake and ran into the elevator while my brothers ignored playing Call Of Duty. I clicked the 9th floor that's where the entertainment gear was at, "I sure do love watching SpongeBob!" We giggled as we sang along to the song and ate candy and slurped down cool soda and that's when a weather advisory came on to the large screen and said the biggest storm ever recorded in history was coming.

Miguel and I screamed because it looked so scary red lights flashing everywhere people running some driving away from the crashing waves of the Jersey Shore line water and that's when Isac, Tyler and Masion run in and grab us from our seats hop into the elevator and throw us into the car. "Where are we going!" Miguel and I asked quickly "We have to get out of New York City, NOW!" Isac said driving us to the airport. My eldest brother Isac was a good driver so he never hit anyone or anything on our way there.

We arrived at the airport 10 minutes later and thousands of people stand there waiting to be let on one of the evacuation planes heading to Washington .D.C. My brothers Tyler and Isac put me and Miguel on their shoulders so we wouldn't get lost in the crowd of people we pushed and shoved until we reached the security check point, I could see many people boarding the evacuation planes as many of them mourned over what may be lost after this horrific storm. The security officers opened the check point and a stamped of people burst through Miguel and I fell off my brothers strong shoulders when everyone just took off trying to board any plane.

I lay there reaching my hand toward Miguel through the line of shuffling feet I manage to grab him and I pull closer careful not to lose him, like I had just lost my brothers. After security stopped people from boarding the planes I heard someone scream out "If you don't let us on, we will all drown!" I heard kids and babies even some adults crying. I managed to stand up along with Miguel, "Miguel we have to get out of here there's too many people!" Miguel gave me a tight nod we ran out into the parking lot forgetting everything behind us.

We came into the side walk and I had found a Fisher Price mini car that really drove. I hopped in and cranked the mini car with the plastic keys and honked the squeaky horn at Miguel signaling him to get in, he got in, the side walk was damp with running water everywhere as I sped down the walk way water and air sprit through my long brown hair as for Miguel he was pretty sure I couldn't drive straight at all.

Miguel and I walked into the building and as we looked around we saw the evacuation take off into the stormy mistful clouds as it got into mid-flight a stroke of lighting hit the tail gate, the plane decreased in altitude and crashed into a far away neighbor hood engulfing itself in flames which flickered out quickly because of the water. I was sleepy so was Miguel, we looked for a room until we found one it looked as if the family that lived here left 2 hours ago and left in a hurry I was the first to get into one of the beds with Miguel right beside me.

Miguel and I were scared straight we woke up due to a nightmare but fell back asleep again we woke up again when we felt something wet touching our hands we sat up and sure enough the water level had risen while we slept. We were knee deep in room temperature water we soon made our way to the hall and opened the elevator which still worked "Lola do you hear that?" I listened carefully and I heard the sirens, the hurricane sirens "Oh, no we have to get out and quick the storm is getting too close!" I shouted in panic.

We just got into the elevator and I repeatedly presses my wrinkled fingers against the first floor button. As we went down water slipped in Miguel and I started to cry and breathe very hard when we started to float there was barley enough room for us to breathe so we both held hands and struggled to stay above the water. We had no energy left to try anything else we hugged each other tight and got prepared to well.. drown from all this water until......
