Adjusting her jacket, the rain poured down harder with every passing minute. As she lets out a long sigh she rolls her suit case over to the bench. She sits down, her thighs barley touching the seats for her skirt came to her mid thigh. She looks at her hands almost longly as thought they could carry her to another planet. She looks like she just told all her secrets, confesses all her lies. She looks empty, but don't we all. She looks up as though she's expecting someone to be there. Her eyes close tightly as she looks down and open widely as she looks up. Sad star-y eyed tears streak her face. The bus rolls to the stop and slowly stills. She wipes her face and gets her ticket and suitcase ready. As she reaches for the handle a hand softly lands on her hand. Her eyes look at the hand and then who it belongs to. He opens his mouth but white noise comes out. She shakes her head and smiles as she grabs her stuff. She stands and he grabs her arm softly, pleadingly. She finally looks at his icy sapphire eyes. She try's to stay strong but he sees right through it. Though they are strangers she feels like they've known each other forever. Collapsing into the seat next to him she cries onto his shoulder as he puts a calming hand on the back of her head and one on her back rubbing small calming circles. She feels the numbness wash away as she finally feels the stinging at the edges of her heart. His words slowly come into focus as she now realizes he's been telling her "don't let the rain wash away your judgment, just wait till the sun comes out and shows the rainbows of truth." And "don't run from the hurricanes of your problems. Let them pass and learn their wisdom for soon they will be light winds against your back". She stifles a laugh as she pulls away and looks up. He brushes the tears away but leaves his hand on her face and his hand on her back. She brings her hands to his hand as one holds his hand there and the other holds his wrist. " I'm not letting the rain wash me away and I'm not running from the hurricane of my problems. I'm distancing myself from the sun for it shows the painful truth. I'm going towards the rain of lies because it shows me a blissful lies." He smiles "then we have something in common". He stands and holds out his hand. She reluctantly takes his hand as he pulls her to her feet. Her grabs his bags and her suit case. He pulls out his ticket and looks to the bus. She smiles and walks to the bus and he follows.
