"OH MY GOD! You scared me!" I shout, attempting to distract her from what I was previously doing.
"You want to explain to me what you're doing, Claire?" Jess asks
And even though it was a question, it feels and seems like it was more of a demand. I take a moment to read her facial expression and analyze this situation, to figure out how to get myself out of this as fast as I can.
"I was just seeing what those nerds were up to, GAWD their so socially awkward. You'd think for someone who can solve millions of equations; that they could solve the equation of how to get a life!" I laugh, praying to god she bought my lie.
Jess squints suspiciously, probably to see if I am lying, which shouldn't be hard since I'm a HORRIBLE liar... I wait for her to figure it out. My laugh eventually becomes a cackle, and then a chuckle. Finally after what seems like hours of waiting for her response, Jess slowly smirks, then chuckles with me.
"That's a good one Claire!" Jess Quips. "C'mon, you should tell that to Tess and Taylor..."
Jessica starts to walk off, and pull my hand to follow her. Which I do, reluctantly, of course.
