'is everything I know truly the sea

or is it a blue desert'

"When will you be home?" Taehyung asks with a quiet voice and Yoongi let out a light chuckle, probably imagining the shit-eating grins from the other members at shy but bubbly Taehyung.

"Tae, I'll be home soon. Do you all miss me that much?" Yoongi, on the other end, sat on a small chair looking into the beach in front of the glass window and him. Yoongi was at peace, with hushed voices, waves crashing and slapping against each other and the smell of his mother's tea.

Yoongi hears a noise of confirmation and Yoongi's heart melts at his friends. He had only been away for four days to relax in Daegu, visit his family and hopefully conjure lyrics to help forward a come-back. He swiftly looked at the calendar that paints cherry blossoms. 21st July 2014.

"I'll be back soon guys, only 3 more days. I'll bring back some snacks. Chocolate bread sound good?" Yoongi hears an excited 'Yes!' from Jimin and lets his shoulder bounce with laughter. He lets his eyebrows raise like he was facing his members and friends. Like Jungkookie's eyes were trying hard not look Yoongi in the eyes because the boy was so shy. Like Hoseokie was fiddling with his belt because he just couldn't keep still. Like Jin-Hyung had that caring and concerned youthful look on his face. Like Taehyung stuck his tongue out in happiness, that scarily resembled a puppy. Like Jimin prodded at his hips that no one liked him seeing him do. Like Namjoon was looking right into his soul like he could write down every single thought in Yoongi's mind.

Yoongi doesn't think he'd admit it, but he misses his friends too. He wasn't too worried, Jin-Hyung could handle the kids, but he missed tossing and grumbling trying to get comfortable between sweaty bodies at 2 am. Sometimes.

"Namjoon-ie wants to speak to you." Hoseok chirps, then with a crisp 'okay' from Yoongi.

"Hello hyung, how is your holiday? Is your mother well?" Namjoon sounded a little out of breath, probably running his fingers through his hair. Yoongi smiled and walked over to the long length window that exposed Busan's beautiful scenery he missed deeply.

"She's doing fine actually, just absorbing time with her son," Yoongi laughed inwardly. "It's beautiful Namjoon-ie. After almost 3 years of knowing each other, you should probably come and visit."

"I'm a terrible friend, hyung. How are you keeping up? Eating plenty?" Namjoon never failed to make Yoongi's heart shoot sparks of affection and appreciation. He just wished he'd worry less.

"You know my mother Namjoon, she'd stuff me if she could." Yoongi thought of his mothers fidgety self, hoping her son won't recluse into the anxious and sad man he tends to fall back on time to time.

"You'd better come back with a swollen tummy. Are you near a beach right now?" Namjoon asks curiosity laced in his question as he waits for a reply.

"Uh yeah, why?" Yoongi decides to pad over to the door to swing it open and feel the soft wrath of the seaside.

"When I was a kid, I used to think the sea is like a blue desert. Don't you think, hyung?" Namjoon questions and Yoongi sometimes ponders what is inside of Namjoon's big brain. Obviously, this is one of those thoughts.

Yoongi looks at the sea, climbing onto the moist sand until letting go again.

The desert and sea are big beautiful places that you can let yourself get lost into, either by looking or venturing. They are also both deadly, they can both steal your breath and leave you gasping.

Namjoon has a point.

"You think too much Joonie." Yoongi grins, letting his right ring finger fall into his nervous mouth.

"-Because when you gulp the sea all at once, you still thirst for more. We yearn for more. Do you think we'll really make it?" Namjoon sounds scared, insecure and in need of someone to rub the small of his back and reassure its okay. Yoongi is probably the biggest hypocrite about, He'd rather help and solve Namjoon's problems instead of laying out and sorting his own because Namjoon sounds so unsure.

"Of course we will Joonie. This past year has been tough, but you led us and pioneered us through the sea-storm." Yoongi lets Namjoon's slightly ridiculous allegories consume him as he tries to comfort him.

"You make me sound like a pirate. Pirates are bad, hyung." Namjoon giggles and Yoongi can't help laughing along with the contiguous sounds.

"I miss you Joonie. Keep well fed and try and help Jin and Hoseok with the kids please?" Yoongi asks, already knowing Namjoon will comply because he is just so sweet.

"Of course, you keep yourself healthy too. We can all go out for a nice, large, traditional dinner when you arrive back. Bangtan seems like it's missing a piece." Namjoon sighed in happiness and they both wished their farewells until Namjoon spoke up.

"Oh, and Yoongi-hyung?"

"Yeah?"

"I miss you more."
