I should've been reading my book, but I couldn't with that man staring at me from across the outdoor seating area at les hangar.

I was spending my summer in France for a celebration that I managed to graduate out of Madison university in Madison Wisconsin.

I slowly closed my book, stealing quick glances at the stranger.

The stranger was about 5'12 and had medium length black hair. His eyes were as blue as the ocean. I could see them even with the 15 feet between us. He was leaning against a cathedral pillar, staring at me.

I hollered for the waitress so I could pay her, giving up waiting for the stranger, and I left.

"What shall I do today?" I said to myself as I walked down a gorgeous pier not far from the cafe.

"How about you go on a date with a dashing young man?" I heard someone say behind me.

I jumped and turned around with wide eyes.

"And why would I- oh, it's you."

"Well don't sound so excited to see me."

It was the stranger. The gorgeous man who was staring at me at Les hangar.

We were now 4 feet apart.

"Why were you.... Uh.... Could you tell me why you were staring at me?" I said shakily. For all I know he could be looking to get in bed with someone and I looked like an easy target.

"Well, I was walking and I saw a gorgeous girl like you and couldn't resist the urge to ask you out to dinner." He said smiling.

"So you ARE a pervert." I replied while crossing my arms.

"No. Not even close." He held his hand out and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"I'm Christof Denobar."

Seeing as I was confused, he grabbed my hand and shook it and, before I could pull it away, he brushed his lips slightly across my knuckles.

"Karly Greene" I said blushing. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Denobar."

"Likewise, Miss. Greene."

We stare at eachother for another 2 seconds before he speaks up.

"So, dinner tonight at Soleil de la butte around 7? I'll pick you up. here's my number." he winks.

"If you promise not to push me in a white van." I giggled.

"I promise." He smiled before turning around and walking down the pier.

"See you!" I called.

I stood their awkwardly until Christof was out of sight and ran down the pier back to my hotel.
