Doctor told me that baby is doing well. I just have to avoid being stressed. She also gave me vitamins and gave me a schedule of my regular checkups. She even gave me a mother's journal. I can really feel it now. Baby, this is it.

I was awakened with a furious knocking on my door. I opened it and saw Andrea looking shocked and scared standing in front of my door. She actually looked disturbed.

"What happened to you?" I asked as I let her in.

"I'm sorry," Andrea said and she started crying she did not even take a step to get inside.

"What?" I asked again becoming nervous now.

"I just did not know it would be like that... I'm really sorry."

"I don't understand you. Say it straight to my face now."

"I run into Zeke at the mall and I kind of mentioned that you are carrying his baby. And he so wanted to go here and talk to you. He is kind of mad that he did not know about it earlier."

I was shocked by Andrea's confession. I love her and all but she did not have to meddle with my situation. She had worsened it. I slapped her on the face. I did not mean to but my emotions took over. Andrea and her fondness of Zeke. I hate it.

"Why did you do that? Why did you not even let me decide if I want to tell him or not?!" I shouted.

She continued crying. Perhaps also surprised that I hurt her.

Mom went running to my room upon hearing the commotion.

"What happened here?" Mom asked looking at Andrea who is crying so hard then at me who is probably so red now because of my anger.

"Mom, your daughter just told Zeke about my pregnancy!"

"Andrea! Why did you do that?" Mom shouted as she pulled her away from my room.

Lucille suddenly appeared and handed me a bottle of water.

"Thanks," I managed to say before closing my door.

"That pathetic meddling brat!" I shouted before retiring to my bed. I do not love my sister less but I just can't accept that she put this very delicate situation in her hands. I should have been the one who decided on this.

I heard my cell phone notifying me that there is a new message. I snatched it from my side table and opened the message.

Zeke: Alex, we need to talk!

This is it, baby. I guess we have to face your real daddy. As if on impulse I dialed Calix's number. It might worsen the situation but I felt that more than anyone he has the right to know what is going on now. He cared for me sincerely and I have to tell him because talking to Zeke might lead from one thing to another. I want to be fair with Calix.

"Babe?" He answered after a couple of rings.

"Calix!" I shouted nervously.

"Easy, love. I miss you."

"Listen to me."

"I am..."

"Zeke already knows about the baby."

"What?! How did you tell him?" He asked sounding betrayed that I did not tell him before making a big step.

"I didn't. Andrea, my little sister is quite fond of him and when they run into each other, she took the liberty to tell him." I sighed.

"Are you okay, babe?" He sounds too concerned.

"Zeke wants to talk."

"When? I will never let you talk to him alone. Please tell me so that I would be there. We will face him together."

"But..."

"No buts, babe. I love you. Whatever you decide when you talk, I will accept. I will respect. I am just afraid that you might be harmed. Please give that to me."

I sighed. How can someone be so sensitive and loving?

"Thanks, Calix. Will call you once we decide on the date."

"Great. Will wait for that, babe. Don't stress yourself. Rest."

"I will. Thank God for you, Calix. You always give me strength."

"You just made me smile, babe. That was sweet."

"Not as sweet as you I guess," I replied smiling.

"If you don't hang up now, my heart might jump off my chest and come running to you. You are making me love you more, babe."

"Take care, Calix. Bye." Then I hung up.

I can feel my heart beating wildly; probably because of Calix's sweetness mixed with the fear in replying to Zeke's message.

Just before I can type a reply I received another message from Zeke.

Zeke: Alex! I said we need to talk!

Me: Okay. Let us do it somewhere private.

I suggested that we should talk in a private place. I am afraid that he might burst and we might make a scene.

Zeke: Yes. I will bring Kara so that she can explain to your hard head. This Sunday? We meet in our coffee shop. It is closed on Sundays and we can use it to talk.

Me: Okay. Will bring a friend as well.

Today is Wednesday, I have time to prepare and think things over. I called Calix again.

"Missed me already?" He joked as he answered his phone.

"Quite," I said sarcastically.

"Ouch. The sarcasm."

"Calix, we will talk to Zeke on Sunday. He said he will bring Kara with him."

"He will bring who?" He asked sounding surprised.

"Kara, she is his childhood best friend."

I could hear Calix coughing on the other line.

"Calix? Are you okay?"

"Um.. yeah. See you then, babe."

"You can come on Saturday. Will tell Mom to let you stay in the guest room."

"Great. See you, babe." Then he hung up.

Is it just me or did Calix sound weird in that conversation?
