Stand Up For Me (Larry and Ziall AU)

Prologue

Here's my Romeo and Juliet-based Larry Stylinson AU! (alternate universe= boys not famous) Well, ok so this isn't really a chapter, but I suggest you read it anyway, because it's pretty important. There's a summary and character list and all that jazz… so yeah.

First off, HUGE shoutout to GetAWAYEvilSpoons_1D who has no idea how amaZayn she is! Go read her stories, if you don't already! She helped me a lot with this one and her own stories are just…. *le sigh* they're just incredible!

 Also, massive thank you! (as the boys would say XD) to Miss_Angel for making my absolutely  fabuLouis cover!!! Big shout out to her AND her stories which just blow me away with every chapter!

Mkay, I think that’s it. And don’t blame me for this first part sucking =[ The rest won't be that bad (hopefully). I just thought 'Hey, it would be so cool if I took the real prologue to the play and changed it around a little bit to fit Larry's situation!' It seemed like a good idea at the time, but then didn't come out too great here… o well-- I put it in anyway.

Two families, both alike in dignity

In Verona Academy, where we lay our scene,

From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,

The fearful passage  of their unaccepted love,

And the continuance of their parent's dissent,

Which, but their childrens' "end" naught could remove,

Is now the newfound traffic of your screen.

The which, if you with patient eyes attend,

What here shall miss, my toil shall strive to mend.

Well, now that I've crossed "completely butcher a classic work of literature" off my to-do list…

If you don't get it, then good. The story will be more surprising! But if you DO get it… well then damn, I guess I just suck at trying to be subtle :/

So I'm just gonna go ahead and throw a little overview out there in order to give you a feeling for the story. Here goes nothing!

**I would highly recommend you familiarize yourself with the play before reading. I'm not saying to read the whole damn thing-- just go on spark notes or something…

'Stand Up For Me' is a Larry Stylinson modernized spin on the Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet. (Although, it will NOT be written in Shakespearean language, just making that clear because that shit is fricking hard!) HAHA lol that’s what Harry said to Louis :P ok sorry moving on…

Harry Styles is a new student at the Verona Academy for Boys, a boarding school just outside New York City. Having been freshly kicked out of the last three schools he's attended, the senior considers himself a bit of a badass. Not to brag, or anything.

Harry's parents, on the other hand, are convinced that Harry's experience at Verona will be different. The authority at Verona is very strict, being a private Christian school with a spotless reputation to uphold. Plus, Harry's responsible cousin-- Liam Payne-- is also a senior there.

Quickly adjusting to his new life, the lad from Holmes Chapel made fast friends with his roommate-- Niall Horan-- and became quite popular at the usually uptight school. Harry Styles was now a big fish in a small pond, and to everyone's surprise, he was actually enjoying himself.

Needless to say, everything had been going fine-- brilliant, even! That is, until the Annual Verona Masquerade Ball, where Harry came face to face (well, mask to mask) with the feathery light brown hair and breathtakingly unforgettable blue eyes of none other than… Louis Tomlinson.

But, wait! Hold the fuck up! Harry Styles, self-proclaimed pussy lover, can't be gay… can he? Oh, who was he kidding, he was falling fast and hard in love with the Doncaster native.

There were just a few slight tribulations with this newfound realizations of Harry's:

For starters, Verona Academy instantly expelled openly gay students for fear of them being demonically possessed and/or being in opposition to the Bible.

Also, Louis' family forced him into an engagement with a beautiful (yet bitchy) Hollister model, Eleanor Calder. (A/N: No offense Eleanor, sweetie, I love you to death!)

Oh, and did I mention that the Tomlinson and Styles families are both heads of the biggest rival record companies in New York and have hated each other for decades? Well, now you know.

And the fact that Zayn Malik, Louis' overprotective cousin, seems to do everything in his power to keep Louis and Harry apart doesn’t help the situation much, either.  

Will Harry and Louis' love be able to withstand and hold strong through their families' spite?

(A/N: Ok, that was waaaaayyyy too dramatic. I apologize for my writing :P And I know it's not in this little summary, but Ziall WILL be a big part of the story as well, I just don't want to give too much away yet. That's right, I'm making you suffer! Muahaha!!!)

So anyways… here is a character list that basically says who's playing who, in terms of the original play and my version. If you haven't read the original play, this will make absolutely no sense to you at all, so you should probably skip it.

Just a warning though, this story IS a boyxboy (le duh!) and it will probably include a lot of swear words, violence, angst, and perhaps some self-harm. So, if you don’t like any of these things, I suggest you don’t read. However, I will be offering a warning label at the beginning of any particularly violent or sad chapters, just in case.

Also, I do not own any members of One Direction (if I did though, OMG UNF:) or any other characters in the story.

I'm really sorry about this, but I will not update until I have 7 votes and 5 comments! (It just really keeps me motivated, and without support I get lazy and don't update)
