Chapter Two

Colton simply smirked at me and offered his hand for me to take it, I didn't even think twice and held his hand.

So, I guess, maybe, we'll keep eachother in company for the rest of the night.

Great. Just great. Sarcasm please.

***

All the people in here were enjoying the party except for one. Me. Why?

Number one, all my friends were out there, making the best out of the night but not with me, their partners.

Two, my own partner left me alone, ns I'm sitting awkwardly while watching my parents and old people having their sweet time. Gross. I want to puke, excuse me, oh my gosh.

And number three, my partner left me with another girl, which I didn't understand how she was able to get here. It looked like she works at some kind of low class strip club. A slut who's wearing a cheap dress that showed all of her saggy butt! Ew, I can't even. If someone invented a "disappear-o-slut" machine I would've bought one by now.

"What's with the frown on your pretty face, sweetie?" Asked a familiar high-pitched voice.

I looked up to see who it is, "No, I'm fine, Mrs. Stanford, it's nothing. Thank you. And happy anniversary, by the way, hope you're having fun and this place looks stunning."

Cass' mom is a really great woman. She's been close friends with mom for a long time now.

"Here," she handed me a fruit cocktail. "You are my guest after all. Thank you, and you have to, too."

Cassandra's mom is also a five-star chef. This is why pretty much this whole yacht is a somewhat kind of a french bistro, but instead a yacht.

"Thanks, ma'am," I shot a genuine smile at her.

She smiled back at me and left shortly after she did.

So, I'm left all alone again.

5 minutes passed and I'm still staring blankly at the people. As I was eating my fruit cocktail, the devil finally came back.

Swollen lips, messy hair, unbuttoned tuxedo, wow he looks like a big mess right now but at the same time he still looks.... Fine?

Wow, this guy didn't even bother to gussy up for a while before coming back inside, wasn't he aware that this is not a simple high school party? This is an elite party, how informal!

Beside him was that slut whose cheap red lipstick is smudged at the moment, clinging onto Colton's arm. And her hair looks like she just came out and survived out of the jungle. Still, she thinks she looks gorgeous? Kill me now.

I was scowling as I was looking at them until Cassandra came into my sight and shoved Colton's shoulder and frowned at him. Maybe that's for leaving me alone.

He left the girl he hooked up alone and left her coldly. Whoa. This jerk is too much.

Colton is also rich like the rest of us, his father is a famous business man, like dad, and he owns a lot of companies as well, mostly hotels, just like that. And, they're pretty much our rival.

Yes, our rivals. I don't see welcoming looks from my parents and his tonight.

And about Colton's mom, I never heard a thing about her ever since.

Colton at school, well, he's extremely smart but still the teachers hate him for his misbehaviors, improper personality, and notorious doings, of course, he's a bad boy. The cocky one and all. Girls always fall head over heels over him. Is he that handsome? I don't seem to see it.
