The Sun And The Moon Find Solice and Peace

Link and Darky rode far from the village.
Far from Ganon or Zelda or anyone...

Freeing themselves of the pain they would have to endure in Hyrule and instead opting for a better life.

Darky and Link had gone on a journey for a perfect home.
Darky held onto his lover as Link continued his journey.

A few years passed, they finally found their place of solice.

Darky decided to finally give himself a better name... he and Link had both matured into a couple of fine young men.

Darky was now Darkire and Link had set up a tent for them to stay in until they could build their home.

Both of them had decided on a cozy little cottage in the meadow.
Free from the ridicule of their world and from their rulers.
Link knew it was his time to pass the torch, having chosen a different boy to take his place before they left.

A new warrior to protect all of Hyrule... the entire world even.

Link and Darkire planned how they wanted the house to look and got to work.

The building took two more years of hard work and dedication.

It was on the day that they finished that Link proposed to Darkire with a handmade ring in hand.

Getting married four months after.

The wedding was beautiful, black and white coming together in beautiful matrimony.

The sun and the moon took eachother by the hand, walking down the isle of flowers they created for themselves.

Underneath the twisted trees they planted, they came together and created an eclipse.
Becoming one and then as soon as it began... they had to seperate.

Darkire smiled at his bright and beautiful husband as Link smiled at his reflective beauty.

They smiled at eachother for a moment longer, enjoying the peace of the moment before hugging eachother close.

Nothing
Would pull them away from eachother again.

They were young and stupid...
Thinking they could have fought to save the world.
Thinking they could have rescued the world and still been able to keep their relationship safe from ridicule.

They laughed about it, Zelda... Hyrule.. all of that wasn't worth it.

There was so much that had been wrong with where they were before...
So much wrong with even them as people.

They'd been so clueless but they learned so much.

Link took Darkire by the hand and walked side by side with him.

A retired hero and a being rescued from a fate of being a simple shadow.

They eclipsed once more before heading into their finished home.
A perfect, wordless... ends to end.
Perhaps short and maybe not as exciting as many would like... but for them?
It meant the world.

Cruelty, Fear, Homophobia, Perversion and Pain...

They had gotten through it all, grown as people and outgrown the very community that had abused them so...
Grown out of their own foolish ways and were now..
