Chapter Five

Bethany's POV:

Days went by. It's almost two weeks. I have refused to leave.

I can't leave the one I love.. I couldn't do that..

All I could think was would he remember if he made it. Would he even make it...

-Now:

Bethany's POV:

It's been a while now. Maybe a month. He is looking better.. But still isn't up. I haven't left much.

Everyday I go down and get the drink he got from Starbucks and something for myself in hopes he will be there. Fully there to have it with me.

He's fighting. And I am here. Ryan visits as much as possible. Jenny comes and visits every once in a while to keep me company.

I told my mom all about Ben. She can't wait for the day he wakes up so she can actually meet him.

I want him to be here with me. Only time can tell.

-----------3 days later-----------

I'm still waiting. He has been moving around a lot this morning. Maybe he'll wake up.

I left to get Starbucks for us. And I got a call.

"Hello, who is this?" I said answering my phone.

"Hi, it's Ben's doctor, I think you should come back as soon as possible. Something changed."

"Be there soon."

As I hung up my phone, I turned and headed back to the hospital not knowing what to expect.

As I ran inside, my mom was there so was Ryan and Bens parents. They were all in tears, they looked so happy.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" I yelled as I ran into the room.

Right when I walked in I stopped. It was Ben. Ben himself. Awake...

Bens POV:

"WHAT HAPPENED?" I heard a familiar voice yell.

I saw her. She was there. She stayed..

"Hey beautiful." I said as she stopped in her tracks in the doorway.

All I can can hear her say is "oh my god" as she walked over and hugged me, I started crying.

When she loosened grip after a minute. She was crying too. I kissed her.

"Bethany, you waited. Why?"

"I waited because I couldn't leave.. I love you and I need you. I want you. And I want to be okay. You make me okay. And now. Things are going to be okay. I love you. and this month waiting. It was worth it. I knew you could do it. I knew you would make it. I just didn't know when. But that day is today." She said. Crying even more.

I hugged her. "Thank you. I love you too.."

We sat there hand in hand. Noticing everyone staring at us in awe.

"Look Beth. I think they like my girlfriend." I said with a chuckle.

Bethany's POV:

"Look Beth. I think they like my girlfriend." Ben said with a chuckle.

"Girlfriend..?" since when.. I mean I don't mind but when did that happen.

"Oh. I guess I dreamt asking you out.."

I chuckled. "Well I guess I dreamt that too." I kissed him.

"So that's a yes?" he said nervous.

"Yeah." I said tearing.

The doctor walked in.

"So no Starbucks today?" he said chuckling.

"Well he woke up before I got there so I guess not." I said chuckling.

Ben looked confused.

"She's a keeper. She got you the same drink everyday the past month waiting for you to have it with her."

"Well I kinda wish I could have it today. Right now. With you Beth."

Bens POV:

I was confused.

"She's a keeper. She got you the same drink everyday the past month waiting for you to have it with her." My doctor said with a smile.

"Well I kinda wish I could have it today. Right now. With you Beth." I looked at her and smiled.

"Well besides that. You can sign out today. You should be fine to leave."

"Thank you, so Beth. How about we go for Starbucks later?" I turned my attention to her.

The doctor walked out. This is just amazing.

I can't wait for life to start again.
