Life With The Deadly Sins

   Hi I'm Felix and somehow I was chosen to protect humanity from the Seven Deadly Sins. And no ,I'm not some angel or heavenly being. I'm just a normal, human, teenage boy. I was chosen for this great task because of my "flatness and strong will" ,as the angels put it. Basically they said I was emotionless and felt nothing ,so that made me immune to the Sins.

  My story starts on a typical Friday night. I was in my bed asleep and I had this weird dream. For the record I don't dream much (hardly at all) ,so this was kinda strange. I was in this bright, cloud world with angels everywhere a.k.a heaven. Two angels came up to me and started talking. They said that I had been chosen to do a grand task. They explained that I would be the guardian of the Seven Deadly Sins.

  I woke up in the morning to the sound of my alarm clock. At this point I was convinced that this was just a dream. "It felt so real" ,I said wiping the sweat from my forehead. I laid back down and closed my eyes for a few seconds. I got the strange feeling that someone was watching me. When I opened my eyes there was a girl with mysterious blue eyes hovering above me. I quickly sat up.

  The girl just hovered there and giggled. She was a very attractive girl. She had long, dark brown, wavy hair. She wore a red hoodie, black leather pants, and knee-high, black leather boots. She had her hands in her pockets as she smirked at me.

"Who are you" ,I asked trying to keep my body covered as much as possible. The girl responded with an attractive voice "I'm Lust." I shook my head in disbelief "No ,it was just a dream ,wasn't it?" The girl was hovering beside me now "What was a dream?" I looked at her and jumped. She chuckled "You're a jumpy one ,huh blondie?"

  "Can you please stop...hovering. You're making me nervous." The girl listened and landed on the floor. She then grabbed my hand excitedly "Come ,you've got to meet the others." I looked at her confused "Others?" She looked at me "You know ,the other Sins." I was convinced that I was still dreaming ,but I got out of bed anyways and followed her downstairs.

   I couldn't believe what I saw. There were six other strangers in my kitchen and living room. Lust appeared in front of me smirking ,which startled me. "Stop doing that" ,I said irritated. She just shrugged and turned to the others "Allow me to introduce you to the other Sins."

   Lust first led me to the couch where a blonde woman was sitting. "This is Sloth" ,she said grabbing my hand. The woman turned to us and grabbed my other hand. She felt it and smelled it before smiling "You must be Felix ,our guardian." I nodded. Lust smiled "She can't see you silly." I looked at her confused "Why not?" The woman let go of my hand "Because I'm blind dear."

  Next she led me to the bar where two males were sitting. Lust pointed to the younger one "That's Greed." The boy looked about Lust's age ,which I'm guessing is 17. He had neatly groomed, chestnut hair. He wore a green leather tunic, lighter green pants, and dark brown, leather boots.

  He smirked at Lust "Our new guardian ,I suppose?" Lust nodded "That's right ,he's going to be our new target." I swallowed nervously. She pointed to the other ,older, man at the bar. "This is Gluttony." The man frowned at me. "You're not what I expected" ,I uttered. "Well he is hungry ,just for power and not food" ,Lust replied.

  Lust then pulled me to three other women. She pointed to a red haired woman with green skin "That's Envy." The woman held out her gloved hand to me "Pleased to meet you." I shook her hand and nodded. The woman in all black rolled her eyes at Envy. "That's Wrath" ,Lust whispered. I looked to the last woman ,who looked older than the other two. She was fixing her makeup in a pocket mirror. Lust cleared her throat. "Yeah yeah ,I'm almost done" ,the woman barked. She put her mirror away and smiled at me. "That's.." ,Lust started. The woman hugged me and said proudly "I'm Pride." I smiled slightly "I can see that."

I heard my dad come downstairs and looked at the others frantically. "Quick! All of you hide!" The Sins didn't move ,they just stood (or sat) there smirking at me. "Are you guys deaf or something? Hide."

My dad was standing on the bottom step looking at me confused. "Son ,who are you talking to?" I quickly turned around and nervously smiled "Dad I can explain." He raised an eyebrow "Explain what?" I looked behind me where the Sins were still standing. My dad just shook his head and walked to the fridge.

Pride moved out of the way as he grabbed for the handle. He got out a beer and walked into the living room. He sat on the couch beside Sloth. I stood there looking at him with my mouth hanging open. "Close your mouth Felix before a bug flies in it" ,he chuckled. I pulled Lust aside "Does he not see you guys?" She smirked "Nope ,only you can see us."

Later that day I received a letter from the angels. It literally just appeared out of thin air. I opened it and began reading it. The letter contained everything I needed to know about the Sins. It told me about their influence ,which is like some kind of fairy dust or something that is supposed to overcome people with that sin. It also told me their threat level and gave a basic description of them. Also it informed me that I am immune to their influence, I'm the only one who can see them, and that if I give into them they'll be free. And by free they mean human like ,meaning everyone can see them and be affected.

Everything went well with the Sins and I. We all sorta became friends and I found out that each of them had a different name. Like for example Lust's name is Robin. Of course they're all trying to be set free ,but I try my best not to let them.

Everything was going smoothly until I got a girlfriend. After that things went downhill. And it all started with Lust. I may be immune to the Sins' influence ,but it's a different story for everyone else. I'll tell you what happened and how each sin played a part in my failure.
