A/N: Woah! Craziness! I've uploaded twice today. Well technically it's a new day. But close enough! So take that writer's block! The picture on the side is of LIla.

Lila’s POV
I was waiting outside my high school on the benches in the front going over my world history books. I hadn’t heard the loud whine and groan of Ryder’s ancient truck yet so I knew that he and Carter weren’t here yet. The buses hadn’t arrived either so Michael and Taylor probably weren’t here.
I closed up my world history book, too tired to continue studying. My dad hadn’t gotten home until one in the morning this morning and I had waited up for him to get here. He had been in Atlanta working on a casino. He was a very wealthy architect and owned his own business. It made for nice summers in the Hamptons, but lonely nights at our house. My mom had died when I was three. She was shot three times in an alley way behind and apartment that Ryder was living in at the time. It turned out to be some junkie just looking for money for his next fix. I unconsciously reached for the silver cross hanging around my neck. The junkie had taken it from my mom and the police returned it to us after they arrested him. It was a constant reminded to me of my mother and her undying Christian faith.
I was broken out of my memories by two strong arms wrapping themselves around my midsection from behind. I knew it was Carter, but I squealed anyways to make him believe that he was clever. I turned around and kissed him good morning.
“Morning Carter,” I cooed.
“Good morning Lila,” He replied.
“Hey Lill,” I looked up to see Ryder standing there in front of me.
“I told you not to call me that, Ry!” I said.
“And I told you to not nickname me after a type of bread!” He said. I felt Carter grab my backpack off my shoulder and my World History book off my lap.
“Here honey. I’ll take these for you,” he said.
“Aw thanks. You’re so sweet to me!” I lied. I guess he didn’t realize that I could handle carrying my own book bag. I understood that he was probably one of the nicest most gentlemen like boyfriends on the entire world, he wouldn’t even have sex with me, but sometimes it was just too much.
“Anything for you babe,” Carter said. I ran my hand through his brown spiked up hair and leaned up to kiss him. I felt butterflies in my stomach every time that we kissed and this time was no exception. I leaned farther up, deepening our kiss. I moved around so that I was sitting on my knees on the bench and I wrapped my arms around Carter’s neck. I felt his arms slide slowly around my waist and pull me even closer. And that’s when I heard Ryder clear his throat from behind me. I barely even took notice, but it seemed to stop Carter. He pulled away from me and looked back at Ryder.
“Yes Ryder?” He asked.
“Sorry to interrupt, but the buses just came in so Taylor and Michael should be over here soon,” Ryder said. He was standing there with his hands in his pockets and he looked really uncomfortable. Right now I could murder him. It wasn’t often that Carter and I had the chance to be like that. Ryder was almost always at his house when he was there, whenever we went out we went with our friends, and he refused to come alone to my house when my dad was out of town, which was almost always. I looked over to the side and saw a very sleepy Taylor with Michael following behind. They both walked over to our group and stood next to Ryder.
“Hello Ryder, Carter, and Lila. It’s nice to see you this morning,” Michael said in his usual nerdy fashion.
“Hey Michael, we’re good,” I replied, looking over at Taylor and rolling my eyes.
“Hey bitch, what’s up with you?” Taylor asked jokingly.
“Nothing really, I was just admiring your choice of outfit. What happened? Did you forget to do the laundry again?” I asked.
“Shut up, my outfit is fantastic. And when have I ever done the laundry?” She replied.
“True,” I said, chuckling. That’s when the warning bell rang from behind us.
“We should probably go. We all have that world history test in first period and Mr. O’Leary will not be happy if we show up late,” Michael said, pulling off his glasses and polishing them nervously on his shirt.
“Calm down Twitchy, we’ll make it on time. And anyways, Mr. O’Leary loves me,” I said, flipping my long, straight, dark brown hair behind my shoulder.
“Yeah babe, but we should get there anyways. I know Ryder here can’t take any more trips to the Principal’s Office this year. How many has it been already, ten, eleven?” Carter said.
“Shut up Carter. It’s only been five, and half the time you were in there with me!” Ryder replied.
“True, but it was always your fault.”
“Oh come on! That shaving crème thing was totally your ide-“
“Oh stop it boys. We have to go! You guys can fight later!” Taylor interrupted.
“She’s right Carter. Let’s go,” I said. Standing up and tugging Carter towards the front door of the school. We all walked into Mr. O’Leary’s class seconds before the final bell rang.
Michael sat in the front, Taylor sat in front of me, and Carter sat next to me with Ryder on the other side of him. I had to try to keep my attention on the World History test, and it was very difficult with how close Carter was to me. I just couldn’t control how my body reacted while I was around him. I needed some of those blinders that they used on horses to keep them focused on the course they need to run. I hoped I could manage to finish the test without jumping my sexy boyfriend. This was going to be a long class.
