Nobody mocks me.

Hushed whispering woke me up. Me being the most nosey person on the planet I listen without opening my eyes or making my breathing any faster. Then whispers stopped so I decided to "wake up".

I opened my eyes, sat up, and yawned. "Good morning, Alice, Asa, and Mr. cuddles. (my imaginary friend) " I looked at them and smiled.

They didn't smile back. "Aidan where you trying to eavesdrop?" Alice asked.

"How did you know that?" I asked shyly.

"Sixth sense." she said.

Right. I think.

"Nice try." She said.

"Thanks." I'm embarrassed that she caught me. I'm probably as red as my hair, really, really red.

Alice was about to laugh but stopped. Her face turned emotionless, then a shocked expression that drained all the color from her face. "He's coming back." she said.

"Who?" I asked, like I would really know.

"Aaron."

"What!!" Asa said, having a complete panic attack. "He is coming back!! What are we going to do? How far away is he?"

"He will be here any second now." She said.

"I'm just not going to ask who that is. I don't know anything that is going on." I said.

"That is a good idea." Alice said. "It is a really, really, really complicated history."

His voice was so cold it made my skin crawl. "A very complicated history indeed, Alice."

"Aaron." Alice gasped.

"Don't act shocked to see me, you said it yourself that I was coming, and we all know that Alice is always right."

I didn't dare move with a voice so cold, powerful, and frightening like his. I could hear his foot steps most likely weighed down with something, they where getting closer and closer until he was right behind me. "So, Asa, and Alice, I see that you replaced me." Oh bub, you just crossed the line, I don't replace, I renew.

"Excuse me!!!" I screeched standing up to face this son of a grasshopper. "I do not replace people!" My anger was boiling inside of me, the steam already was leaking out.

"Oh really?" Aaron challenged.

"Uh, Aidan, maybe-" Asa started.

"Asa, it has been a while." I could hear his hatred in his sarcastic voice.

Yeah I really have no idea of what the hay is going on here. Of course me being so great with comebacks I happened to have one up my sleeve. "Don't you know it is rude to interrupt people?" I asked him looking into his eyes. They where green like mine, but lifeless. Like his soul. Okay maybe I'm  judging before the trial, but it's life, you know, like some people, dislike others.

"Manners are not important to me now." He said. "I'm just here to get what I need, girl, and you are in my way."

"I have a name thank you." I know that this guy is bad news so I'm simply going to get into a big argument so that maybe if Alice and Asa want to leave they can.

"Yeah and I don't care." He said.

"Yeah but, news flash, I do." I said

He tried to leave the argument to walk around me, but I blocked him.

"It's Aidan, thank you." I said. "I really appreciate that you asked."

"Yeah whatever."  He said.

"Whatever?" I asked my best mad acting skills at work. "You did not just say that."

"News flash, I did." He said.

"You're mocking me!" I said.

"Yes I am."

Even if I am just acting mad. . . He. did. not. That boy has a death wish. A death wish I tell you. "Oh, hun, get this through you thick skull, I don't care who you are, where you came from, if you have any relation to me, or if you are from another universe. Nobody mocks me."

My voice must have been a tad threatening because Aaron seemed a bit hesitant to take his next step.

"Sacred, boy?" I asked then mocking him.

"No I just need to take care of some. . . adult business." He said.

Oh whatever I give up. "Whatever." I mumble going to sit down by Alice.

Aaron sat down on the other side of her. "So, Alice how's the baby?" he asked.

"What?" I asked.

"The kitten is fine." she said. As if on cue a kitten jumps onto her lap to rest.

Well that cleared some things up. It is just a cat, not a human baby. Got a bit scared there for a minute.

"Aaron," Alice said. "Why are you back here?"

"You said that home is a place where you can always come back too, no matter what you have done." He said. "I know that betraying you is the dumbest thing that I have ever done in my life. I know that you will never fully expect me in your life, but I have no other home to come to. Please, forgive me for what I have done, you don't have to right now, but promise me that you will some time forgive me for the emotional," he then looked at, Alice, then turned to Asa. "and physical pain that I personally put you through."

"Aaron you almost killed us both, on purpose. I don't know if I can do that, ever." Alice said.

"I understand." Aaron said, his head hanging low. "Can you do me a favor before I go?" He asked.

"What is is?" Alice questioned.

"Do you mind if I stay here for a night?" He asked.

Really?

"Well," Alice said. "I guess so. It is only one night."

Really?

I looked at Asa who has it written all over his face. It says, Really, Alice, really?

It is going to be a long confusing day.
