How come life is so different when you are looking up at the sky. It is as if all of your worries melt away. It doesn't last long though, but for that split second it does. It was my first day of college and I am majoring in astronomy. All my life people told me that such a pretty girl should be a model or do something more productive and pays more attention to my looks. I tried, but hated all of it. I decided to do what I love. So here I am at Clover College, let's see what happens.

"Take your seats class!" Shouts my new math teacher, Mr. James. "So, everyone be silent as I call role! Zane!" "Here!" Says the boy named Zane. "Phoenix!" "Present!" He finishes the list and I kind of space out the rest of the class. The day flies by and after school I go to the school bulletin to find a club to join. "Cooking club, sports club, gaming club-" I say uninterested. I come across one that says Astronomy Club. My eyes go bright and I run to the astronomy room. I bust through the doors and say, "I want to join the Astronomy Club!" This boy with black hair looks up at me. Everyone else continues what they were doing. "Who are you?" Says the black haired boy. "I'm Phoenix Paris! I want to join this club!" I shout. "Yes, I am aware." He says. "So can I?" I say. "I guess since we only have three members. We need to at least have five to be recognized as an official club." He says. "I'm Zane, the girl with the blonde hair over there is Ivory and the boy with the red hair is Jacob." Says Zane. "N-nice to meet you all!" I say as I wave. "Yeah, dido." Says Jacob, never looking up from his book. "Finally another girl!" Says Ivory excitedly. "Well, if your apart of this club then you need to find something to contribute to the festival." Says Zane. "I-I could make some flyers and little star cookies!" I say. "Very well. They need to be done by tomorrow." He says as someone knocks on the door. The open it and I see that it's Mr. James. "Um, may I have a word with you Zane?" Zane nods and they step outside. After a few minutes Zane comes in looking sad. "Well, we need to gain at least one member at tomorrow's festival." He says sadly. "Hey, don't worry. We can do it." I say reassuringly. "No we can't you are the newest member since the beginning of last year." I walk over and touch his arm. "We can do this." I say in a determined voice. He sighs, "I guess we can try.." He says finally giving in. "Yay!" I pull him into a tight embrace and then pull away. His cheeks a bit pink. "I'll go make the flyers!" I run off to my house. I print off the flyers. They have stars, planets, and the club name on it. It's really colorful and pretty. I get started on the star cookies. After they are in the oven I decide to get out my telescope. I look at the stars and then I get an idea. I get my video camera and I record the sky through my telescope. The next day school flies by and before I know it the festival is here. I get my cookies, video camera, flyers, and projector. I go find our tent that we set up in. I get there first and I set up the projector and cookie plates. The projector makes the whole tent look like the night sky. The stars and even a shooting star. I smile at my work. Everyone gets to the tent. Jacob has a star table cloth, Zane has cupcakes with star sprinkles, and Ivory has little star crowns. "What happened here?" Asked Zane confused. "I recorded the sky last night and projected it in the tent." I explain. He looks around impressed. "Wow." Said Ivory. "This is amazing!" Shouted Jacob. "I can't belive you did this. This is awesome. Thank you." Said Zane. "I'm going to go pass out flyers." I say. "Me too!" Shouts Zane. His face goes a bit pink. He clears his throat. "I mean, me too." I giggle and he follows me with some flyers. "Thank you for all of this." He says. "No problem. I enjoy the stars. They are my escape from reality ever since my Mom passed away." I say looking up at the sky. "What happened to your Mom?" He asks. "Well she passed away from Cancer when I was ten." I say sadly. "Ever since I always find myself looking up at the stars as if imagining her watching me from up there." I say. "I-I'm so sorry." He says sympathetically. "It's fine." I say. He places his hand on mine. I look up at him and he smiles. He leans down and kisses me. My face feels a bit warm. "Sorry, I just- I really like you." He says appolegetic. "I-it's fine, I like you too." He smiles. After awhile we walk back to the tent and we are greeted by Ivory and Jacob. "Guys! Guess what?" Screams Ivory. "What?" I ask. "We got three more members! We are an official club!" She yells happily. "Yay! We did it!" I shout. "We only did it because you believed in us." Says Zane. "Yeah." Agrees Jacob. "See guys? Girls rule!" Shouts Ivory. I giggle. I'm glad we can stay together. I'm glad that I got to meet all of these people, and I'm glad that I will spend the rest of my life with one of them.
