Chapter one: The Start of it all

Twolegs yowled and waved their hands in the air, the ones in the front wore a sinister smile as they watched as another twoleg rushed onto the stage holing a metal cage with metal bars. The cheering become louder and the cat inside the cages ears bat back, her fur bristling and eyes wide with fear and worry. Why oh why were cats being forced to fight each other? The cat inside only looked about 7 moons, her first battle came early while her sister, Crystal, was still in the cage with her mother. The she-cat snapped back to reality. Ok Russet, you can do this! Russet calmed herself and took a deep breath then slid out of the cage and looked around. The arena was painted black and gold, but red stained the ground on Russets paws and on the walls. Russet shuddered and looked around for her first attack, she noticed another cage with a pure black tabby tom, the cage opened and the tom burst out and glued his eyes to Russet, he snarled and ran at her and Russet ducked and ran  as the tom leaped at where she once stood, an idea popped into Russets head and taking the moment the tom was on the floor she leaped onto him and dug her unusually long claws into the toms black then making sure they had s good grip, Russet kept her claws in the tons back as she raked them down his spine leaving deep gashes. She let out a yelp as the tom let out a yowl of pain and rolled over onto his back, crushing Russet to the floor. Refusing to give up Russet used her small size to advantage and wiggles out from under the black tom then quick as lighting leaped onto his stomache and racked her claws down his soft belly fur, she looked up and at the top of the stands saw a grey she-cat watching her with worried eyes, it was her mother. Taken aback Russet paused and then felt a sharp pang as she realized the tom has slashed her side. She fought the pain away and she hissed thendug her claws into the tom and went up to his ear and whispered, "What's you name?" She growled as she gave a powerful blow to the face. "Sky!" The tom growled back. Russet didn't know this tom, not heard of him. "Well, Sky, it's been nice fighting you but I need to win" Russet mewed the slashed Sky's eyes "I'm sorry..." Russet said as she slashed open his neck and hit his shoulder, she watched him bleed out on the floor, she starred at her blood covered claws and sighed then dug that into the ground. Suddenly the fans sounded again and Russet was picked up by the scruff and jammed painfully into her cage. She growled and tried to swipe at her twoleg but her legs were simply too short to reach.

Back in the lab Russet wasn't placed in the cage with her mother and Crystal, she was placed beside them but Snake was between them. She sighed again thinking about her battle only two days ago. She suddenly realized she had no grief or regret, only wonder. Snake turned to her and asked, "What was the name of the cat you battled?" He asked curiously and Russet hesitated before answering, "He was a black tabby tom, his name was Sky" She mewed to him then tilted her head, "Why Do you ask?" She questioned and Snake stiffened and leaped over and told Storm something then looked back her horrified, "Russet... Sky was you father...."

Russet leaped up, hitting her head on the metal bars at the roof of the cage "SKY WAS MY WHAT?!" She yowled, her voice was full of panic. "Sky was you father! How did you not know?!" Snake spat. "It's not my fault I haven't been told anything about my father!" Russet retorted back. "you still should of known!" Snake yelled, Russet wondered why he was so angry "It's not my fault I look nothing like him OR storm!" Russet hissed "And why are you so mad?! You aren't my father!" Russet growled and her claws slid out unknowingly. "I'm not saying this, storm is telling me to!" Snake said quickly. "Great! I kill my father and just found out FASSINATING!" Russet said angrily "Storm saids she does want you as a daughter anymore..." Snake said and Russet stopped "I-I don't have a mother anymore?!"
