Ethan, Grayson and I drove down to the station to register their parents as my guardians.

"You sure you want to do this" I whispered to the twins before their parents signed their last signature.

"Yes" Ethan said as their mom signs. I smiled and got up and walked to the car.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I picked up my moms scarf and smelt her sweet aroma.

Hours before the crash

"Mary come down here" yelled my dad.

"Am I in trouble?" I yelled back.

"I really hate when you ask that" said my mom. I sigh as I walk downstairs.

"What?" I said walking into the kitchen.

"Please explain this." said my dad holding up a vape.

I was confused, I would never use a vape that was not mine.

"That is not mine" I said honestly.

"Then why was it under your bed?" my mom said, raising her voice .

I didn't have any siblings to blame this on so I was out of luck there.

My friends were over the other day and that was theirs but i would not rat them out.

"I don't know where that came from, I promise!" I began to scream, defending myself.

"Mary Anderson Delaney, don't you dare raise your voice at me" said my dad, pointing a finger to shut me up.

"I am your daughter and you don't believe me!" I blamed, the anger rising through my veins. "I hate you, you guys suck, I never want to see you again" I stormed out of the room and slammed my door behind me.

15 minutes later

"Mary we are leaving for the airport we will be back tomorrow," said my dad, his voice soft and sweet, "I love you" the door closed.

Dad's pov minutes before the crash

I was mad, angry, sad. My emotions were mixed. Kim was hard to read she was silent and her face was blank. I hate seeing my wife and daughter upset.

My eyes were filled with tears and couldn't see where I was going.

Everything was blurry, I was fading in and out of reality.

I heard beeping and attempted to wipe the tears from my eyes and ended up letting go of the wheel.

My eyes were clear and the last thing I saw was a semi coming head on towards the car.

Present Day

I put the scarf back in the box and looked out the window, we were at my house.

"Lets get your things." Ethan smiled, wrapping an arm around me.

I nodded as a tear rolled down my cheek.

I missed them
