It was cold, dark, and pouring rain out as Lauren hid behind the dumpster of a dark alleyway. She was alone, scared and felt so helpless. Holding Nala close and closing her eyes as people walk past the alley she whispers, "It's I'm here we're safe." Just as she starts to fall asleep she uses a nearby cardboard box for protection from the rain.
*Lauren's pov*
It's cold out and all i can think about is what im gonna eat for breakfast. The cardboard box i used for protection did the best it could to protect me from the rain. But sometime last night it took its final metaphorical breathe and began to fall apart.
Somewhere at the end of the alley I can see the crowds of morning commuters walking to work. Chatting and what not. I do my best to stay quiet not wanting to be seen or acknowledged by anyone. Had i not been for my evil, spineless and cold-hearted father, the multi-billionaire CEO and Founder of Jauregui Industries, one of the biggest tech producers, I wouldn't have had such a shitty childhood or be in the crap situation I'm in now. Well my plan to stay quiet and not get caught failed! I think as i hear footsteps coming towards me.... Shit! I curse at myself....
