Outcast

"Your beautiful" Chance said gazing deeply into my eyes. " I love you more than anyone else here...or anyone else in the world." he brought his lips to mine and pulled me in closer roughly kissing me.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Kelsey screamed waking me up from my unrealistic fantasy dream "BOBBY JUST LIKED MY POST ON INSTAGRAM!!!" she boasted. I sat up and gazed over at her, her bed was right next to mine and she always woke me up in the mourning. "Who the hell are you looking at!" she fumed glaring at me.

"Nobody sorry" I said quickly then hopped out of bed. Today was my birthday I did feel like putting up with her crap! I could hear her whispering about me to Sarah behind my back. Out of all the room mates in the hole orphanage I get paired up with these two.

I walked down to the cafeteria, and sat next to Becky, Lauren, and Laney my only friends in this damned orphanage, besides the guidance councilor Ms. Kantalou who I visit regularly.

Okay I'm not a wierd-o, emo, cry baby, or whatever everyone says, honestly I'm pretty normal. My friends are too, for some reason everyone just hates us and we cant change that. Sitting on the other end of our table is Chance(my crush) Jason and Bradley. They are all pretty hot so I dont get why they aren't popular, never the less they hang out with us and we all like each other. Chance says hi to me almost everyday he picks up my books when I drop them, he walks with me to my classes. We gossip about people in our grade when we talk but nothing more, and I constantly wonder If he feels the same way about me.

"Happy birthday!" Laney yells and my hole table (a total of 6 people) sing happy birthday, I smile and my face turns red. then people from other tables turn to look at us. They glare at us like we are committing a crime, my table continues to sing we are all used to the stares, and when they are done the cafeteria (a total of 427 people) boo, and they shout mean things like.

"Worst day of the year!"and

"16 years ago today a slut was born"and

"No wonder she orphaned who in hell would keep that thing"

I ran out of the cafeteria and into my (shared room) tears dancing down my cheeks. My group of misfit friends (and Chance who is not a misfit cause he's perfect) followed. I sat in my bed crying

And they all surrounded me. Laney whispered something to Chance, and I could barely make it out, it sound like "do it" he nodded and grabbed my hand. My eyes were burning from tears. he hand never held my hand before like this. What was he going to do?

"Guys just leave I...I cant do this I just I...cant." I was not going to lessons today I was going to sit in my room and cry.

"Amy I really want to tell you something." Chance muttered shyly. Ignoring my sad comment. His smoldering hot voice was interrupted by screams.

"FIRE!" someone shouted. Then "RUN GET OUT!" everyone froze then looked around at each other the fire alarm then went off.

"What the hell..." Jason muttered. Tortured screams erupted down the hallway. Chance grabbed my hand pulling me out of bed and shouted.

"RUN!" Lauren screamed. Together we all sprinted down the hallway towards the fire exit. The scream became louder and more intense. I could feel heat intensifying.

We made it to the back doom and ran out side. Our orphanage (Yellow stone) had a thick forest on one side and the city on the other. We all watched from the west side of the school burst in to flames.

Chance was still holding my hand as we watched. Strange vans pulled up to the side of the building police men (or at least I thought they were police men) stood around the other exit. A small survivor limped out of the exit one man took a large scanning gun and pointed it at him "red" he shouted then another pointed a gun at the helpless child and pulled the trigger. I started to scream but Chance put his hand over my mouth. What was happening? "Guys" Chance whispered "we need to get out of here unless anyone plans on being shot!" There was a small clearing between Yellow stone and the woods together we all sprinted into the woods and hid behind some bushes.

"is everyone okay"Becky whispered

We all nodded. "does anyone know whats happening?" Jason asked his voice cracking.

"I do" muttered a voice behind us. We all turned around to face Ms. Kantalou standing behind us.

"How long have you been there, and what the hell is going on and, why are they shooting people!" Chance growled.

"Okay I will answer all of you questions, I an not with those people who are shooting just follow me I have a safe place." she turned around and began walking though the forest. We all exchanged looks before following.
