PROLOGUE

My name is Lake Sherman. I'm 18 years old. I live in a small town just outside of Philly. Next year, I'll be in college. My best friend Harry has been my friend since birth. We are inseparable. You probably think it's odd for me to hang with boys, but I'm not really a girly girl. If you ask me to choose between going shopping or playing basketball, I'll choose basketball. Ever since 3rd grade, I've been playing soccer and football. Yes, I'm a girl. Yes, I know football is for boys. I'm treated the same as the guys. My team is like my family. Anyways, today is April 2nd. Today's a special day? Want to know why? It's me and my boyfriend, Niall's 3 year anniversary. We've been together since sophomore year and now we're seniors! Ah can't believe it. He doesn't know this yet but I got him tickets to a soccer match, he loves it!! He's the sweetest, cutest best boyfriend ever. I can't live without him. Him and Harry are friends of course, I made sure that happened. Today will be amazing,

"Happy anniversary baby!" Niall said kissing me on the lips. I have him a big hug.

"Happy anniversary! I got you something." I said giving him his wrapped box.

"No way! Soccer match? This is amazing! I love you."

"I love you too."

"I got you something to. Close your eyes." I closed my eyes. I have no idea what he got me, but I hope it's something great. Knowing Niall it's probably some fancy jewelry or something.

"Open."

"AHHHH. Oh my god. You got me a Tiffany necklace? It's so beautiful. You're seriously the best. I love you so much." I went right into his arms and started kissing him. Later that day, Niall took me to a nice lunch and a movie.

"This day could not be more perfect. Wouldn't you agree?" I asked. He took me on a picnic and the view of the city was amazing.

"Anywhere that I'm with you is perfect." Niall smiled.

"Stop making me blush." I smiled back. We ate our lunch and then went to see a movie. Afterward, we just hung out.

"Do you want me to see if Harry's around? Or would that ruin the day?" I asked Niall. We were back at his house, sitting on his couch.

"Doesn't matter. I like Harry."

"K. I'll call him." He picked up 2 rings later.

"Harry?"

"Hey. Happy anniversary!"

"Aw thanks! Niall and I are curious if you want to hang out with us."

"It's your anniversary why would you want to hang out with me?"

"Harry don't be silly! We already had a special day. We gave our gifts to each other and then he took me on a nice picnic and to a movie. Now we're cuddling. Do you want to come to his house?"

"Sounds really special. I'll be there in 10."

For the next 10 minutes, Niall serenades me. That's something I love when he does. He has the voice of an angel. I guarantee that when he's older he's going to be famous. He sings me covers of Michael Bublè songs and Bruno Mars. I melt every time he sings to me. The doorbell rings.

"Harry! Hey buddy." Niall hugs him.

"Hi Harry!!" I hug him too.

"Happy anniversary guys! I got you something."

"You didn't have to." When we open it, I see a necklace for me with an N and for Niall there's a bracelet for him with an L.

"These are beautiful. Thank you."

Harry spends the entire day with us and at 10:30pm he drives me home.

"Thanks Haz."

"Don't need to thank me."

"No thank you for everything today. You really added to my special day, I love you so much and I couldn't ask for a better best friend."

"Aw thank you! You too. Have a good night, Lake. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

I went to bed thinking about my amazing day and the 2 most amazing best people in the world. There's no way I could live without either of them.
