It's was a Friday night in Capeside. Dawson and Joey were found where they usually were at a Friday night, in Dawson's bedroom watching a movie.
But this Friday was far from normal due to Jen sitting at a chair beside the pair.
It wasn't a secret that Jen and Joey didn't like each other. Some might even say they hate each other. They both liked the same guy, of course they weren't gonna be best friends.
The entire night had been silent until when Joey spoke up halfway through the movie. "Well, it's getting late. I should probably head home and help Bessie."
Dawson sent his best friend a disappointed look. "No, Joey. Don't leave. It's movie night."
Joey didn't say anything she just nodded towards Jen's direction which Jen noticed. Jen was a bit relieved, because then she knew for sure she wasn't the only one feeling awkward.
"Us three hanging out is a bit weird," Joey admitted.
"I agree and if someone's going to leave, it should be me. This is your tradition after all," Jen stated as she got up from the chair.
"No, none of you are leaving. Sit down and watch the movie," Dawson commanded as he patted on the bed motioning for the girls to sit down.
After a long time of hesitation the girls sat down. "Geez," Joey muttered to herself.
Just as the girls had sat down Pacey and Izzy walked into Dawson's room. Both of them chuckled a bit before Izzy spoke up. "What kind of sick threesome is this?" She joked.
Dawson rolled his eyes. "It's movie night," he explained trying to make it less awkward.
"Without us? I am deeply and truly hurt," Pacey stated as he faked a hurt face.
"I'll be leaving now," Joey said to the group while getting up. "Me too," Jen said as she pushed past Izzy and Pacey.
"Awkward," Pacey stated after the two girls had left. "Agreed, but look at it the bright way know you get to hang out with us," Izzy said as she and Pacey sat down beside Dawson.
"What movie is this?" Pacey asked he had watched the movies for 10 seconds.
"I don't know, but a boring one," Izzy answered.
That made Dawson snap. "No talking during movie night. This is why I didn't invite the two of you. You couldn't shut up even if your lives depended on it. And by the way the movie is a classic" he half-yelled.
