Once upon a time there was a princess... but she wasn't a normal princess. She didn't live in a castle or have royal parents... She lived a normal, quiet, happy life away from the drama that most teens her age have to deal with...
She goes to school like every other 17 year old. She's excited to graduate and be out of the prison she was trapped in for four years.
One day, though, at the beginning of her senior year, she meets someone new.
That person just so happens to be the best person in her eyes. He was her Prince Charming. Her and her Prince Charming did everything together. From hanging out with friends to going shopping.
Her prince was her best friend. Until one day she finds him in bed with her best friend. She ran away from everything she ever knew. She dropped out of school. She went to army boot camp she swore to herself that she'd never fall in love again.
They sent her over seas to fight for her country and she was so proud to do it. She'd kill people for the country she lives in.
But once over seas and in the battle field she froze up. Her gun aimed at a man. He would've been her first kill if she would've pulled the trigger. But she couldn't bring herself to do it. She accepted her fate and was going to let this man kill her but he couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger either.
So instead of killing the strong woman he chained her to him and took her back to where they keep the prisoners.
The man left and she didn't see him again for a long time.
It's been three years, and she's still being held captive. She's been beaten so badly she can't stand. They took everything away from her. Her innocence, her child, everything. She was just a hollow shell hanging on their wall like some kind of trophy. One day though, the man that captured her came back. She thought he was just as evil as the rest. So when he went to unchain her, she fought back with everything she had left, like there was no tomorrow for her. She was determined not to die without a fight. The man sedated her, so he could unchain her, as she wouldn't stop fighting. He took her in his arms and carried her out of the hell she was living in. He took her to his new home far, far away from the country he fought for.
Once she woke up and realised she wasn't in that cell chained to a wall anymore, she cried. She cried into the pillows she was laid upon.
She stayed there for a while weeping over her dead child, she was sure the child belonged to that man who took her innocence. The one who chained her and many women before her to the wall. But she loves the child anyways. As she cries, someone comes in the room. She doesn't know that they are there until they touch her back. At first she freaks out and runs from the bed. Trying to find something to hit the person who touched her with. But when she turned around she went into a state of shock. The person who touched her was the man who saved her.
"Who are you?" She asked the man.
"I'm your Prince Charming," he replied back to her. He stayed sitting on the bed as not to frighten her. "I've been trying to get you out of that place for so long."
"Why?" She asked him in such a small voice he almost didn't hear her.
"When I took you to that place I didn't know what they did to the prisoners. I didn't know they treated them that way. Once I found out I wanted to rip everyone's heads off their shoulders," she whimpers as he says that. Looking around the room for something to hit him with once more. He scares her.
"Ever since that day I first saw you I knew you weren't like the others but we were in battle. I couldn't just let you go." He got up and left the room after that and she sat down on the edge of the bed, her head in her hands, crying. The whole time she was in that cell he was on her mind. She couldn't explain it. Even when she lost her child, she kept up hope that one day she'd be able to get out of that hell and find him again. She knew she was crazy, after all, he did get her put in the hell she was in for so long.
She stayed there for weeks after that. She was allowed to go around the house as she pleases but she wasn't allowed to go very far from the house. Every time she tried she was dragged back by two women who were way stronger than she was. Eventually she stopped trying but she never saw that man for those weeks she was there.
Until one day when she decided to take a walk in the small part of the woods she was allowed in. He was there, he saw her first and quickly walked to her. This isn't a safe place for her. These woods are dangerous, he thought as he walked up behind her.
"You shouldn't be here," he said once he grabbed her arm. She flinched away from him and he sighed sadly at the fact that she still doesn't trust him. "One day I'm going to fix you, I promise," he whispers to her. In that moment she trusts in him.
"I want you to," she whispered back.
A few weeks after that with a lot of time spent with the man. She started to become her old self again. The one before the millions of rapists. The one before the cheating boyfriend. The one before hell. she slowly trusted the man. They fell in love within the months after as she heals from the pain she went through, learns to trust the male species again.
Soon after they get married and have kids. She was a hero for her sacrifice to the country but also a hero to the girls who didn't think they could succeed in anything.
Girls all over the world looked up to her. She was a truely inspirational princess. She wrote a book about what happened to her a year after they had gotten married. It was a Bestseller. She died a happy woman who loved so many, and was loved by many. Even though she went through hell and lost a lot of people who she loved, she came out on top. That wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the man she loved. Please let me know what you thought of it! It's my first short story I ever written and posted in Wattpad.
