"Great job on our routine girls," I say. "Practice is done for today. See everyone tomorrow."
"Hey Sky, wanna go to Starbucks tonight?" I look over my shoulder to see my best friend Desiree talking to me as she's sitting on the bleachers taking her cheer shoes off.
"Heck yeah! I'm going to go home and shower first, though. Meet you at... hmm... five-thirty?"
"Sure, sounds good. Meet you then," she replies as she walks away.
I grab my duffle bag from the bleachers. The rest of my squad has already left, and the football team is just ending their practice.
"Hey, Jacobs!" I hear from across the field. Ew! What does he want?
"What is it now Richards!?"
Matt saunters up to me with a smirk plastered across his face. As he gets closer to me, I see the sweat droplets on his forehead. His brown hair soaked with sweat and falling every which way. There is a mischievous look in his eyes.
Now I'd be lying if I said he wasn't attractive in any way, shape, or form, but his shitty personality clouds over his good looks.
"Want to come over to my place tonight, babe?" He asks me, his smirk is not wavering in the slightest.
"Don't ever call me that," I order him. "And no. I wouldn't be caught dead in the place where you have banged more chicks than I can count on two hands."
"Ouch. Why so cold?"
"Because I still don't like you," I say, and with that, I turn on my heel and leave.
"I'm growing on you. Admit it," he calls out after me. He also said something along the lines of 'ass looks great in that short skirt'. I flip him the bird over my head as I walk away. What a perv!

I pull into the driveway and hop out of my red Nissan 370z. My phone buzzes in my back pocket. It's a new group chat message between my friends and me.
Eric: Paintballing on Sunday?
Zach: Hell yeah man!
Desiree: Sounds good:)
Nate: Yeah bro
Jack: I'm in
Matt: Well duh
Me: I'm down!
Matt: Seriously bro you invited Jacobs?!
Eric: Yeah man she's part of the gang
Desiree: Damn straight!!
Me: Lmao
Zach: You guys need to chill for once.
Me: Ugh
Matt: Whatever man
I walk into my house and upstairs to my room. Throwing my duffle bag on the floor, I plop down on my bed. I go on my Instagram and check my notifications; 15 comments, over 100 likes, and 6 new followers. Next, I check my Facebook. It says I have 4 friend requests, 21 comments, and 247 likes on my profile picture that I changed this morning. Then, I check my Snapchat. I have Snapchats from Desiree, Alyssa, Maria, Zach, and Nate.
I jump in the shower quickly so that I can be ready to leave on time. I haven't had Starbucks in a week and I'm beginning to feel withdrawals.
When I get out of the shower, I throw on some PINK sweatpants and a comfortable hoodie. My hair is wet so I just throw it up into a messy bun. Before I pull out of my driveway, I send Desiree a text saying I'm just leaving.
