The New Neighbor

Chapter 3/ Jane

It's 5 o'clock and Gunner goes to Jane's house to hang out. Jane's parents answer the door. Gunner says hi and asks

"is Jane here by chance." the smile and say

"yeah, she's upstairs in her room. third door to the right." Gunner goes down the hallways admiring the family pictures when he reaches the room. He looks in and sees a girl standing there looking out the bay window. He knows it's her because he recognizes her long medium Brown hair that perfectly frames her heart-shaped face. He walks in the room

"Hey, Jane." Jane looks over and realizes who it is.

"Hey Gunner where were you after school? I went to your house but your mom said you weren't there." Gunner walks over and sits in the bay window with her. He explains that he was with Jax and Axel. Jane gasps and says

"What...No, you can't be hanging out with them." Gunner gets confused and asks why. She explains that they're the reasons that all the places here in Pineview have such high security.

"Gunner their 'bad' people do me a favor and make sure you'll be careful. He agrees. They talk for a few more minutes. Gunner and Jane exchange phone numbers and Gunner goes back home for the night.
