The next morning Jane is walking to school with Damon. Gunner comes out of his house and runs over to them. Damon looks over and says
"Uhh... who are you." Gunner introduces himself.
"Hi I'm Gunner I'm new to the neighborhood." Damon scans Gunner and continues walking to school. Halfway there Damon splits from the group and goes down a shortcut through an abandoned alley. It's now just Gunner and Jane walking together when Jane gets an unexpected call. Jane answers the phone to an unknown guy. The guy says
"Hey Jane, how are you. Now listen to me... since you wanna get in other people's business later tonight you're going to meet me at the docks at about 6:00. You're going to bring me 400 dollars. If you don't bring me the treat you're gonna get a trick. You better show or else. C'ya then, by the way, this is the leader of the 'gang'". Jane hangs up the phone and starts crying. Gunner looks over and sees her sobbing. He stops her in the middle of the road and asks what's wrong. Jane explains what just happened over the phone with Axel. Gunner turns to her and starts apologizing. He wipes her tears and holds her letting her know everything's gonna be okay.Gunner looks at her and says "Ok so you're gonna go to the docks and meet them tonight. I'm gonna come with you to make sure you won't get hurt. Now let's go to class.
