Chapter 9/ Goodbye

Later that night Gunner gets a call from Damon

"Hey... Gunner, I'm sorry for punching you earlier. Your right, Jane's fine, you're fine and Jax and Axel are taken care of. I shouldn't have overreacted like that. I forgive you and I hope you forgive me." Gunner forgives Damon and they go to sleep.

Its Saturday morning and Gunner gets a text from Jane asking if he wants to hang out. He says yes and they meet up at the park. Jane looks over at Gunner and asks

"Why did you do all of this for me anyway?" He looks at the ground and smiles. He then turns towards her and looks at her with sincere eyes and says

"Because...I-I love you". Jane smiles and says

"Why me? There are so many other people in this world. Gunner holds his hand under her chin and says "But you're the only one I pay attention to.". Jane smiles and then Gunner leans in for a hug.

After they're done at the park they both go home and go to sleep. Monday at school Jane, Gunner and Damon are all at the same table when Damon shares so news with them.

"Hey guys, I'm sorry but I'm gonna be moving to Seattle for college tomorrow. Since it's already the end of the year they're gonna give me my diploma a couple days early. I'm gonna miss you guys. Even you Gunner." The dismissal bell rings and they all walk out of the school together. Damon is leading the group and Gunner and Jane is following behind holding hands. They go to the beach and hang out for a while. After a couple hours, while they think they are ok running through the back of gunners mind is we forgot about Ryder and he will come back for revenge.
