Come Back To Me

Chapter 1:

One day Danielle faints during class and is rushed to the hospital. She woke up and saw Charlie talking to the doctor. Once Charlie saw that she was awake he rushed over to her.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Fine. What happened?" she asked.

"You fainted during your class this morning" he said.

"Why did I faint?" she asked.

"That's what the doctor is going to tell us" he said.

The doctor walked over.

"Well unfortunately I have some bad news for you Danielle... The reason you fainted was because you have a brain tumor" the doctor said.

"Can you remove it?" she asked.

"Yes we can, but it will be a risky surgery and if you don't have it removed then you will have approximately six months to live. I'll give you and your husband a moment to decide if you want to do the surgery" the doctor said as he was leaving the room.

"I think I should do the surgery" said Danielle.

"But what if you die in surgery" said Charlie.

"Babe I'm going to be fine and after everything will go back to normal" she said.

"Okay I'll go tell the doctor. Oh by the way your parents are on their way" he said.

"Did you call them?" she said.

"Maybe" he said. He knew they could get on her nerves sometimes.

"Did you at least call Paul and Michael?" she asked.

"No I'll go do that after I talk to the doctor" he replied.

"Thank you" she said kissing him.

"Okay I'll be right back" he said. He walked out and talked to the doctor and called Paul and Michael.

Two hours later:

Charlie was sitting in Danielle's hospital room. They took Danielle into surgery one hour ago. Paul and Michael had gotten here a couple minutes after Danielle went into surgery. Danielle's parents still hadn't shown up yet. Charlie hoped that they would show up before Danielle got out of surgery. Just then a nurse came in.

"Hey are you okay?" she said noticing that Charlie was crying.

"Yeah I'm fine. My wife just went into surgery" he said.

"Well why don't you tell me you and your wife's story" she said.

"Okay but it's kind of a long story" he said.

"Well telling your story will take your mind off of your wife's surgery" she said.

"Okay I guess I'll start off when it was our junior year of high school at Williams High School in South Pinewood, Wisconsin" he said.
