I tried my hardest to hold my tears back, there's no turning back after this and I'll be back to what I am before. I cleared the lump on my throat ang tried my hardest to smile sincerely to the person I love with all my heart.
"Jacob. I'm sorry for everything." And I Love You. I wanted to add but held it back because it might worsens his hatred and loathing towards me.
"Do me a great favor, Serenity. Walk out on that door, walk out on this house and walk out of my life and don't ever come back."
I chuckled and smiled sadly. His icy tone and words make my heart ache. It's getting hard to breath because of the emotion I'm trying to suppress. I took a deep breath before crossing the distance between us. I hug him tight, trying to pour every emotion I'm suppressing, he didn't move or protest so I muster all my courage to look into his eyes. The moment our eyes met made me realize one thing, I already lost him because his eyes that always looking at me warmly and filled will love is now full of hatred.
I slowly take some step backward and tighten my hold in my backpack straps. I smiled painfully.
"Goodbye, Jacob" and with that, just like what he told me, I start walking out of his door, in his house and in his life.
