Dancing On My Own - Robyn

JJ's POV
"Hey bitch move out of the way"
This was my life. The life of a quiet girl who didn't like to speak up and stayed in the corner.
I'll give you a quick gist of my life. Social class. Everyone was above me. EVERYONE!!!
"Hey bitch move out of the way" was coming from the most popular girl in school Brooke Harvey. Unfortunately I was the girl that had the bad luck of walking in front of her signature power walk down the hallways.
"Move out of my way!!!" she finished. She was clicking her fingers. Was that supposed to make me move faster?
"Sorry Brooke" I muttered before making a beeline to the side of the hallway.
"That's Ms Harvey to you and don't forget it" she laughed shrewdly.
She wasn't a teacher if that's what you were thinking. She just like a lot of authority. It kept people fearing her. She trot of down the hallway with her army of plastics behind her. If you've ever watched Mean Girls, you would know why they were called plastics. Wait wait wait...you don't know anything about me though. My name is Jamie July or JJ for short. I have blonde hair which flows down to my waist usually, so I keep it tied in a tight ponytail. Bright blue eyes, that everyone says that shone...by everyone one I meant family members because I only talk to them. I always wore baggy jeans of some description, so not to show off my figure. A baggy teeshirt so I didn't show the size of my breasts and have guys stare at me. That would just be awkward. I always wore my tattered dark blue Doc Martens as well. I liked my Doc Martens they were comfortable. It's not like people noticed me anyway so there was no point in making an effort with my appearance. I took my leave from the hallway and decided to head to my next class which was algebra. Yes I was one of those people who got excited by the thought of my next lesson. Classic nerd. All the way through algebra though all you could hear was Brooke's harsh giggling. Shut the hell up!!!
After a full day of school I ran out to work. I worked at the local radio station in the mail room. Hoping to one day sing on the radio, I thought might as well learn about the process. Yep, I was one of those hopefuls. Wanting to make it in a crazy business. I sighed as I stamped letters. That was until I heard someone screaming outside. You could say it was me being a good person but it was curiosity that made me want to go outside and look. I pulled on my jacket and slowly slipped out the door that was only supposed to be used in emergency situations.
"HELP!!!OH GOD!!!" someone screamed from down the dark alley. And I mean dark. Whatever was happening down there forced her to move closer. Choosing to hide behind a dumpster probably wasn't her best choice in life she had ever made.
"Shut up Lewis..." someone ordered in a harsh tone that rung with authority. I moved slightly closer, now standing behind a propped up abandoned mattress. She now could a figure in torn jeans, a leather jacket, white teeshirt and trainers backing up to the wall with his hand put up in defence. His hair was greasy, he skin dirty. It looked like a homeless person.
"Please Bieber you don't have to do this" the man begged by laughing nervously. Fear was swirling around his eyes. The next moment another figure came into view. This figure was wearing a black suit, sensible shoes and a red tie. He had perfect brown hair, hazelnut eyes which should have been as black as coal by the look he had about him. He was taller than me that's for sure. He looked quite attractive as well...none of that mattered though because he had a silver shiny gun pointed at the homeless looking guy.
"An order is an order Lewis. You pissed off some high up people" Bieber merely replied while shrugging his shoulders.
"You're a cold hearted son of a..." Lewis started screaming. The loud bang suddenly shut him up though. I squealed at the wrong moment because the guy with the gun suddenly shot his head in my direction. I ran. What else could you do in that situation? I could feel tears prickling my eyes. I had just witnessed a murder. Was the guy following me? Was I next for seeing what he did? I didn't care as I ran through the pile of broken glass or the heard of rats just as long as I could make it back to the mailroom before...
"Going somewhere?" a harsh voice that would forever be imprinted on my brain enquired. The last thing I remembered was something sharp being stabbed into my arm and the whole alleyway getting dark as my eyelids slowly shut.
