'Dude, what is wrong? Something is wrong.'

'Nothing.'

'Tell me, your date with the hot waitress went wrong?'

'That wasn't a date and don't call her hot.'

'Why? She is hot'

'It sounds...vulgar.'

'What is vulgar about hot?'

'The way you said it.'

'How did I say it?'

'Enough, Aditya.' Ved slammed his glass of wine on the dining table. Aditya sighed placing his hand on his forehead. Ved looked around the dimly lit dining room of his apartment. He is regretting big time inviting Aditya over for drinks.

Aditya looked at his friend and held his hand, Ved doesn't look back. He kept staring at his wine glass as Aditya motivated him, - 'You clearly have a thing for her. What is the point avoiding the coffee joint because of her? I suggest you take the leap.'
Ved sighed shaking his head, he leaned back, - 'I can't. Another heartbreak will shatter me.'

Aditya frowned, - 'Stop behaving like a baby. Nothing will happen. Just go at it with an open mind.' He gestured his hand showing an open mind.

Ved twirled the glass in his hand and kept staring at it. He pondered over Aditya's words. It has been three days since he had been to the Café. His heart longed to see Natasha, but his brain made him resist the temptation. He also misses his favorite coffee. The coffee there is damn good, no other joints serve such perfect coffee.

Around, 11 pm, Aditya left. Tomorrow is Sunday and Ved decided to visit the coffee joint.

Next day, Ved took extra effort to look good. This time he didn't forget to tug a mouth fresher in his shirt pocket. Not that he is expecting a kiss, it is just that he wanted to smell good while talking to her. Ved left the apartment with a bright smile. He isn't planning to get into a relationship with her but is looking forward to being friends with her, for now.

Ved entered the Café and looked around. Since it is Sunday morning, there are many chattering people. His heart kept fluttering with the thought of seeing her after so long. Quickly, he scanned the place for Natasha but didn't find her.

Perhaps she is in the kitchen- he thought.

Deciding to wait, Ved found himself a seat. Luckily, he found a seat next to the counter. He will definitely spot Natasha now and apologize for being an ass.

Unfortunately, Ved's wait was longer than he thought.

'Sir?'

He looked up and found a waitress standing in front. She had come to him three times, also asked for his order. Till now, Ved had three cups of black coffee, already. As Ved thought about his order his gaze rested briefly on her red-streaked black hair before he looked down at the Menu card.

'Sir, I suggest you order something other than coffee. Here I have-' she extended her hand to hold his menu card when he stuck out his palm and the young girl stopped.

Ved looked up at her. 'Natasha? I want to meet her.' He said with a straight face. Too much coffee has made him hyper. The girl gulped.

She made an apologetic face and said, - 'Sorry, sir! She always takes off on weekends.'

Ved's heart dropped. The girl observed him.

'Hey, you were with Natasha that day.' She pointed out. Ved looked at her closely and recollected her to be the one who had interrupted them that day. He nodded and then stood up.
