Chapter 04- Visitor

Mean while at the dinner Nick got an urgent call to come home immediately.
"Im sorry Rachel. I wouldn't leave if it isn't really necessary. Mom has suddenly fallen ill. "
"That's ok Nick.  I understand.  We'll have a peaceful dinner on another day. Take care of yourself."
He gently pressed his lips on her and left.
Rachel was disappointed but she knows it is important to attend to those matters as well.
She prepared herself for bed. An unusual wind was circling around outside. Her bedroom was upstairs so she could see how the leaves come off from the branches with the wind. She called Nick to check whether everything is ok. And also rang Lin but she didn't pick up.
"Must be sleeping" Rachel thought to herself.
It was around 1.30 am Rachel jumped out of the bed with a loud knock on her bedroom.
door.  She was startled.
"Who is knocking at this time?" She wondered. She knows her grandmother never awakes at this time. She was frightened and hesitant to open the door.
"Who is it?" No answer but only a knock.
"Grand ma?" No answer.
" Rachel it's me" a voice from the other end answered. Rachel's breath hitched. This was something she never expected. She quickly opened her door.
" You have forgotten me haven't you?" The visitor came in while taunting her.
" No caleb i haven't, what makes you say that?" Rachel replied .
" You had a serious date today" caleb replied with a disappointment.
"Well caleb. Its not what you think. Its..."
" I don't want to hear anymore Rachel but mind you this ,you and i are here for a purpose. And that purpose must be fulfilled. Don't make me remind you this again".

"We are after Alex, Caleb, but I know you are behind what happened to Lin today. Why are you wasting your time on her?"

" I am not a person who just puts my nose into a dangerous business. I will get to know about my surroundings before I really get started. I know Lin has been your friend for so long. But I feel she is no ordinary girl. She does not seemed to be resembling from any tribe or has any important ancestral  background, still she seem to possess a sense beyond an ordinary human."
With that remark he went out of her room and he disappeared.
Rachel's long lost memories started to come into her head. She knew about her ancestors well ,they were belong to the golden dragon tribe. The most powerful tribe that ruled long before. They had a gold seal that is used as the symbol of power. Meaning the tribe which possess it rules the kingdom. However long ago in a battle with the Lupak tribe, the Lupak tribe  got the seal for themselves so the golden dragon tribe lost the power of control. Ever since then many attempts were made to get it back to them. However since the rulers of the Golden dragon tribe who came after Caleb's great grand father were corrupted and dishonest rulers , the Lupak tribe did not hand over the golden seal to them. The battle has been going on for generations. However their tribe still lives in a small island off the coast of Madagascar. But during the last battle the whole Lupak tribe was killed but their ruler hid the seal so that only the true successor will be able to find the seal. The last ruler of the Lupak tribe is the great grandfather of Alex.this makes Alex the next true successor. He was the last chance of finding the seal. Caleb is the son of the Golden dragon tribe ruler Hican. and Rachel is the daughter of General Lee in Golden Dragon tribe. Rachel was adopted by her parents here as an orphan but truly her parents are living in the island waiting for her return. She haven't seen them for a long time ,she miss them a lot .Alex was never told about these tales by his grandparents or parents. These tribes possessed unique abilities. But not everyone got these powers. In the golden tribe a few had the ability teleport themselves anywhere they want. But some had the power to make themselves visible and invisible as they want. However in the Lupak tribe all were great warriors but for ones in for all generations ,one person will be born with the ability to control water. There will be only one person with such ability for the whole tribe.
Rachel and Caleb were on a mission to restore their lost honour and power.But Caleb was blood thirsty just like the rest of the rulers. He would do anything for power. They have finally found the true successor after many years. Now they must somehow get him to get them the seal.

The night passed on Rachel hardly got any sleep. But by dawn she was fast asleep. She woke up with a loud bang on the door.

"Rachel you are late for breakfast child. Why are you sleeping so long?"

That was her grand ma. She smiled for herself ,she was glad to hear her voice. Well this isn't the real grandmother for her.

"Just a little tired grandma. Ill be down soon". She got off the bed and got freshened up.

Meanwhile Lin was having a hard time with sleep. She woke up alright but she was feeling dizzy and exhausted. She freshened up and fixed herself a breakfast. She sat to munch down a few sandwiches. She was in deep thought thinking about Caleb and the dream. She knew for sure that it was Alex who was fighting the battle. She should have told him that. At least he could figure out something. She jumped off her skin when she heard a the door bell. She was returning from the brink of madness. She opened the door. It was Alex.

"Hey how are you?"

"Oh Alex its you, come on in". they sat at the table.

"Breakfast?"

"No thanks Lin I had, Hey are you ok? You seem to be shaken?"

"I am fine Alex."

"Don't lie to yourself Lin. I could tell the difference. Did you see anymore strange dreams?"

"No I was just thinking about yesterday"

Alex smiled and touched her hand.

"Don't worry It's ok now."

"Um Alex , what was he talking about you being resembling from a tribe . Last hope and all"

Lin looked down at her hand Alex was still holding it. She looked at him. He quickly took his hand away.

He cleared his throat. "Sorry, I don't know Lin. I'm confused too."

"He was really serious Alex. You should be careful. You must see whats all this about."

Alex stared outside.
