Chapter one
Ever hear the expression "Saved by the bell?". Never thought of it literally, until today. I grabbed my stupid yellow backpack and walked out of the room. I didn't think I would ever get out of there. As I walked up to my locker, I let out a long sigh of relief. "Finally! I got out of that ELA class", I thought to myself. I threw in my textbook, slammed the locker, and skipped out the door.
"Hey Sammy, over here!" I turn around, only to see my bestie and her brand new red car. "Need a ride?" I nod my head. "Well don't just stand there! Hop in then." Right when I closed the door, she sped off like a maniac. "Slow down!" I yelled, but it came out like "Slowbehbrhelddrown!"
"Elizabeth!! I said slow down!" She finally started to step on the break and the car slowed. "What's up? Huh? How's Jacob, your boyfriend, remember?" I asked her. She looked at me and I noticed the sadness in her eyes."Liz, what happened this time?"
"We got into a fight again" she simply replied.
