"News spread like bush fire that muhsin from Moi Forces Academy is the only boy in the county to get an A of 98.The whole community could not hide it's jovial moods and oh my!  Muhsin lived liked a king on that day with everyone being served food and drinks..  The elderly opted for the local brew of busaa.. "

Those were the exact words published on the standard newspaper that day and three years fast forward, Muhsin has not yet found a job..  Knocking on each and every gate in the hope of finding of finding something to sustain his economic status only earned him a bucket of water to the face..  His parents sadly visited the heavens just weeks before he landed on the streets..  He was really mad at himself for not contacting his parents after his big achievement.. Tears welled up in his eye sockets as he remembered every bit of quarrel he had with them, every argument and every hurtful words he said to them..

Desperate to earn a living, muhsin thought of all means to earn himself a ticket to the cheapest cafeteria in town. He hadn't eaten for three consecutive days living among the night crawling insects.  He had nothing on him except for a picture of his parents and a toothbrush which he found of no use..
He had lost all hope in life as it could be seen through his dirty pants and 'bellyless' T-shirt. His toes were sticking out of his not so expensive shoes.  He decided to strive and look for a job one last time and luckily he found one..  Not the kind of job that would him feed him everyday, not the kind of job that would take him to places but it was better than starving for endless days.  His job was simply to carry goods for random people up-to their place of choice..  The amount of money given depended on his cooperation and the amount the person had in hand. Muhsin had to live like a 'man' and endure all the hardships that came by.  Muhsin with his weak and fragile body could not withstand the pain and suffering he was enduring, he quit the only source of his livelihood..  Days earlier, after saving quite a handful of money, muhsin walked alone in a dark corner protected only by God's watchful eyes and then out of nowhere,, three men jumped him and demanded all his valuables that he had..  It was the first time he decided to enjoy a cold beer in a local pub but his plans took a wrong turn and all he was left with was fifty Shilllings.. He went to a nearby 24/7 nyama Choma hotel and ate what seemed like a few second's meal..  He was about to leave when he was told that he had to pay up another ten shillings for the water 💧.
Since when do hotels sell water? He thought. He looked inside his pockets but they were so dry. He then felt something like a coin. He was happy like an Arab who had seen a drop of water in the desert only to find out it was just a bottle top..

He did not even wait to be told what to do. He went straight to the kitchen and started washing the dishes as a form of payment. You could have seen the banana smiles that plastered on the cooks faces..  Muhsin left the hotel late at night, with his eyes becoming heavy, he fell down on his belly and went into slumber land..

He was woken up by the rays of the big ball of flames. He was so hungry as if the food he eaten the previous night felt like it had been absorbed in the wrong organ. He sat down deeply lost in thoughts when a lady of fair complexion, beautiful eyes, rainbow  colored lips and curvy figures that would make man forget the adage 'lower your gaze ' in the Bible..

She came up-to him and introduced her self as Sophia.
