Author's note:
Alright so this is a fanfic for The Hugergames of course!!
My friend and I had originally wrote the first three chapters together so there's different writing styles throughout the three. uhmm essentially there are no chapters and it's all just one big novel or short story or whatever you call it.
*** 2017 U P D A T E *** :
Due to a couple of issues, I am going to continue the story on my own. I will stick to the same characters to avoid as many issues with the story line as possible. I do understand that the hunger games franchise has been long since gone and the craze is probably no longer there. However, this has been a story I have been meaning to get back to, but just couldn't find the time and then obviously, I had eventually forgotten that it even exists. So, without further ado, here I go with attempt #3 at this long forgotten story.

I sat there, anxiously staring at the clock; I just wanted the class to end! I looked over to my best friend, Peeta Mellark--who was laughing at how impatient I was becoming. It was exactly one week before the reaping, and the last place that I wanted to be was here. I could have been out there...in the woods right now, but no, Ms.Oppum decided to continue on with her boring lesson on useful herbs and wildlife, even though the bell rang about 10 mins ago. I looked over at Peeta once more, and mouthed the words "shoot me" He laughed slightly, but didn't realize he laughed too loud.
"Miss. Deschaine and Mr. Mellark, is there something you would like to tell the class?"
I bit my hand to stop myself from laughing. She was just so serious about teaching the class about lemon grass and it was really funny. We looked at each other, and back to her, saying,
"No Ms. Oppum," at the same time.
"Alright, don't forget to bring in a herb you grow in your own gardens to class tomorrow, children!" She said.
I hated how she treated us like "children". As we walked out of class, the heat from the Seam was quite unbearable today! I wondered if Prim Everdeen's cat died because of it. I laughed a little too hard to myself.
"What's so funny?" Peeta smiled.
"It's nothing," I smiled back.
He dropped me off at my house, and headed towards the bakery which his family owns just down the block from my home. Just as I put my hand on the doorknob, I heard a loud noise coming from behind my house. I quickly and quietly ran around to the back, dropping my backpack on the back porch. I climbed through the fence and started walking deeper into the woods, until I noticed somebody sitting on a log, with a trap of some sort beside him. I hid behind a tree, but suddenly an itch came in my nose. Before I could help it, I let out a high pitch sneeze. His head immediately turned towards me.
I quickly hid behind the tree thinking that he still probably hadn't seen me. I kept very still and slowed my quick breaths until I was silent.
"Who's there?" He called out, but I didn't answer.
He asked again and I still did not respond. It was at this point, that I heard footsteps. I knew he was walking in my direction. I closed my eyes, as I felt a cold hand grab my shoulder. I jumped and he grabbed my other shoulder, forcing me to look at him.
