This is my first story on wattpad you guys :) I hope you enjoy!
PrologueI waved Archer good bye as he gracefully jumped on his car.
"I love you, babe!" He exclaimed at me before driving off.
I held my duffel bag tightly as I stared into the school's parking lot, cursing the coach for ending practice so late.
Why does everything look so scary at night?
"You know he's cheating on you?"
I snapped my head towards the husky voice, only to spot William Pierce, the school's wrestling captain.
His black hair was a bit messy- I suppose from the helmet- and he was rocking the school's uniform, a small smirk plastered on his face.
"What?" I uttered, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"That fucking tool that just left, yeah, he's cheating on you," he repeated humorously, the smirk on his face grew impossibly bigger.
I opened my mouth a couple of times, the information still processing in my head. The only thing I could splutter out was, "What?"
Will rolled his dark eyes and reached for something in his pocket. "Way to live up to the blonde cheerleader stereotype," he muttered to himself.
"Archer is not cheating on me," I spat back, "And I'm not stupid."
He chuckled. "So then why do I have this picture of him making out with Lena?" He raised a brow as he stuck out his phone at me.
My heart skipped a beat as I walked towards his extended hand, taking the phone in my shaking hands.
Archer would never cheat on me. I was positive of that.
I stared at the phone's screen and bit my bottom lip to hold back a sob. Lena, the girl that was usually at the top of the pyramid, was sticking her tongue down some guy's throat in the boys' locking room.
"That's not him," I denied, though I knew deep down that it was.
"Oh, then why didn't he give you a ride home?"
"He had plans with his family," I murmured, just now realizing how stupid that sounded.
"Family my ass," he murmured.
I felt a traitor tear roll of my cheek and hoped it wasn't noticeable in the dark.
It just wasn't my day.
"Aw, don't cry, little blonde cheerleader, it could always be worse. He could be cheating on you with someone prettier," he chuckled.
I dropped his phone and his smile immediately fell.
I knew it wasn't very smart to provoke a wrestler at a dark parking lot with no one around, but he deserved it.
His eyes narrowed into small slits and he bent over until he was at my face level. "Now, blondie, let's not get aggressive."
I was not a person to get angry, but I don't know if it was the tone in his voice, or just Archer that drove me to punch Will straight in the chest.
Will didn't even flinch, which made me angrier. I punched him again, and again, and again, until he caught one of my arms and flung me around.
My back was touching his front and he had both my crossed arms in a death grip.
"Do you really want to fight me now?" He whispered in my ear.
"Get off me, you- you- you freaking jerk."
I felt his chest vibrate and he let me go. "You don't swear?" He asked with a raised brow.
I glared at him and watched as my mother's car neared school grounds.
"Shut up," I spat at him.
"See you later, blondie!"
I stepped into my mother's car, ignoring the questioning look she threw my way.
Crap.
