Chapter 6- Friends

*Ashton's point of view*

"Come on! It will be fun!" Finn says grabbing my hand pulling my towards the beach. I told her I was to busy today. But, look where we are. The truth is today I am supposed to meet Finn's new friends, and Riley the boy she likes is one of the. 

"Okay, okay I am coming." I say as I swing myself free from her grip. 

"Everybody this is Ashton." She introduces me to the sea of people. "His is Riley." Holy shit. This guy was huge. 

"Hey man whats up?" He speaks with the classic Cali surfer accent. Dick. They day goes by in a blur of just meeting new faces. After a while they all sort of mush into one face. I told Finn I was going to sit in the car. I see her slowly make her way over to me. Before she can open the door Riley pulls her into his arms. She runs her fingers through his hair. She starts laughing at something he said. And then before I even know what is going in they are kissing. It's not just a quick kiss either. It's like watching a movie about your life with a different actor playing your part. That should be me and her. Not him and her. I quickly honk the horn so they will stop. 

"Ahh!" She yelps. He just glares at me. 

"Soo what do you think of him?" Finn asks once she had finally gotten in the car. 

"Yeah, he cool." She frowns. 

"You don't like him?"

"I just don't know him." I watch as she slowly turns the car on. Her hair is a mess and her strawberry blonde bangs fall on her forehead. She huffs to get them out of her face. "Let me get that" I say pushing her hair out of her face. 

"Tell me my hair looks sexy pushed back?" She says with a smile. I give her a confused look. "have you never seen Mean Girls?" She asks. 

"No..?" 

"Oh." She blushes." It's a quote from the movie! We have to watch it." 

"Isn't a chick flick?" I ask. 

"You will think its funny." 

The moment we get to the house she pulls it up on Netflix. 

"Has anyone ever told you that you look like Lindsay Lohan?" I ask once the movie has started. 

"You mean before she want all ape shit crazy?" 

I choke on the popcorn I am eating from laughing so hard. "Yes, that's what I meant." 

"Hey! You guys are watching Mean Girls with out me?" Luke says storming into the room.

"You can watch with us." Finn says scooting closer to me making room for Luke on the couch. Are legs are so close they are touching and I can smell her coconut perfume. I can't focus on the movie. I can only focus on her. By the end of the movie Finn and Luke are both asleep and every thing feels right. Her phone starts buzzing. Riley texted her.. Asshole.
