Chapter 14

I would have stayed by Bree for a while but I mean she just came back home and I thought it would be best for her and her family alone. I mean they would want to talk and things like that. So I went home. 

I decided to tidy my room. After all I had the time and it needed to be done anyways. As usual, every time I met upon an item I hadn’t seen in a while I stopped and either read or just admired it. In total it took my about three hours when it could have taken one and a half hours.

I also got the time to do the bathroom. I had to spend a lot of time getting the dye of the floor, mirror and face basin tiles, but it eventually came off. I changed my towel and rag and eventually changed the shower curtains and set out a new rug set.

When I was finished I just took a shower. Warm water cascaded from my body for a bout ten minutes before I began to lather the body gel. Then I just let the water run again. I applied my moisturizer then put on a black joggers and black sleeveless blouse with a grey sports bra.

I think went back to my room to check out my Instagram. First things first I deleted the pic on me and Andrew then I posted one of me and Kayla with the caption #forever_together with a heart. I was on the gram for like an hour before I realized that it was night. I went downstairs to check up on mommy and to get something from the fridge or pantry, cause I was starving.

When I went to the kitchen mom was pouring nachos in a bowl and popcorn was popping in the microwave.

“Dave coming over?” I asked.

“Yeah, he’s on his way from work.” She replied.

I took about three nachos from the bowl when I was passing and slapped mom on the butt. I flipped through cable and no movie was on that would interest us so I went to Netflix. Dave reached in five or so minutes and after our greetings he helped us carry the food to the table in front of the sofa.
We began watching ‘Kidnapped’ on Netflix. Somewhere along the line, mom wanted to use the bathroom so we paused the show. As soon as she was out of hearing range Dave inched his way closer to where I was. He took the popcorn from my hand that was just midway on its journey to my mouth.
I watched as he put it back in the bowl. In my mind I was wondering why the hell my mother’s boyfriend is so close to me. Lord? He was so close that you couldn’t see the cream sofa you just say his blue jeans beside my black joggers.
