Nicole’s POV
I wake up, surprisingly early considering the time I went to bed last night. I look over to my right, Liam is still asleep. I get out of bed grab my clothes and towel, as quietly as I can. When I came back I decided to wake Liam up.
Liam’s POV
“WAKE UP LAIM!!!” I am woken up by someone shaking me. Then I remember I’m at Nicole’s house
“Go away Nicole” I groan
“Not until you wake up”
I open my eyes and there she is. She is leaning over the top of me, her hair flowing over her shoulder. She smiles, my heart stops.
“Come on sleepy head”
“Fine” I sit up and get out of bed. I put on my shirt and jeans from yesterday. I turn around and catch her staring. I smile
“Like what you see?” I say jokingly
“I have a boyfriend” she rolls her eyes and looks down at the floor.
“Oh yeah, what was his name again?” I say being sarcastic. I knew exactly who her boyfriend was and I knew I should be her boyfriend instead of that jerk.
She laughs “Come on let’s go have some breakfast”
I follow her downstairs. She looks out the window.
“Looks like mum’s already gone to work” she says
“So what’s for breakfast?” I ask
“I guess tea and toast”
We sit down at the table and have breakfast together.
“What time is your graduation ceremony on Friday?” I ask
“Starts at 10:00, why?”
“Me and the lads were planning to go”
“That’s awesome” she smiles
She looks at her watch “I have to get going”
“Oh ok” I pull her into a tight hug. I never want to let her go. I kiss her forehead
“See ya later Nicole”
“See ya Liam” she says and gives me a kiss on the cheek and walks out the door. I touch the spot where she kissed me and sigh. I wish she were mine.
Nicole’s POV
I don’t know what I’m feeling but it’s something different. Why do I have butterflies in my stomach? Do I like Liam? No I can’t, I have a boyfriend. But what other explanation was there?
Liam’s POV
I drove up to the apartment complex. I let myself in using my key. I went up to apartment 24, Niall’s apartment. I knocked on the door.
Niall answers and smiles “hey”
“Hey. I need to talk to you”
“Come on in”
I walk into his living room and sit on the couch
“What did you need to talk about lad?” Niall questions
“It’s about Nicole”
He nods knowingly. He’s the only one who knows about the feelings I have for Nicole.
“This is getting out of hand. I don’t know what I’m going to do. Every time I see her I know she can never me mine.”
“You just need to follow you heart”
“But she has a boyfriend, and I know he’s a jerk but she seems happy with him”
“So you’ll just need to wait for the right moment”
And what if that moment never comes?”
“It will. There is always a right moment for everything. And if it doesn’t work out you’ll always have me”
I laugh “You’re right Nialler, no one could ever replace you”
But really, thanks” I smile
“Anytime”
Nicole’s POV
After school Kat and I decided to go back to my house to chill. I gave her a ride since I had picked her up this morning on the way to school. When we got home we went straight up to my room. I dumped my bag in the corner and sat on my bed. Kat came and sat next to me.
“Was someone here last night?” she asks looking at Liam’s mattress that was still there from last night.
“Yeah, Liam slept over” I shrugged
She raised her eyebrows at me.
“What? He used to sleep over all the time”
“So there’s nothing going on between you to?” she questions. She thinks that Liam and I would make a great couple. I sigh, there’s nothing I can keep from her.
“Kat can I tell you something?”
“You know you can tell me anything”
“I – uh – I” stutter
“Oh spit it out Nicole”

“What?” Kat says with a shocked look on her face
“I know what you’re thinking”
“How did this happen?”
“I’m not sure but last night he came over, nothing unusual there right?” I told her everything that happened last night and this morning, glad to get it off my chest.
“What about Daniel?”
“That’s why I don’t know what to do. I love Daniel and I’m not sure I can deal with this right now. Maybe I’ll get over it, maybe it’s just a crush”
