It's eight o'clock on a Saturday night and im getting ready for the first party of the school year. Technically, its before the school year since school doesn't start untill Monday. Either way I'm prepared to for tonight because the party is going to be at Sarah Hall's house and let me tell you a little something about Sarah Hall.
She's about five seven with dark brown hair and a body like no other. Sarah moved here in fifth grade with her family from South Carolina. Her family is extremely wealthy so she has the bragging rights of having one of the nicest houses in Haverhill. Her parents are out of town and don't come back untill Monday night so she decided to throw a big house party and God am I thankful she did.
This year is going to be our fourth year in highschool aka our senior year. The year that people tell me is suppose to be one of the best times of my life. And so far the expectations have not let me down. So tonight I'm prepared to go all out and drink how many drinks I can drink and party like theres no tomorrow. I mean if you think about it tomorrow is never given so maybe I should live my whole life by that moto.
My mom is a nurse in the emergency room and she often works late nights. It seems like tonight she'll be working because when I walked down the stairs I saw her sitting at the dinner table in her uniform with her hair up in a pony tail. I tried to walk by her with out her noticing but as soon as I reached the door she looked directly at me.
"Where do you think your going?" She says as she scolds me.
"Out. There's a party tonight. Trynna start my senior year off with a bang." I say half jokingly.
"What time will you be back?"
"I don't know mom. Why does it matter? It's not like its a school night or anything."
"Just be safe, okay?" She says with a concern tone in her voice.
"Okay mom." I say as I walk out the the door and close it behind me.
I dont understand why my mom worries so much. It's not like I'm out doing drugs or anything. I mean I know that I'll be drinking but alcohol doesn't really count as a drug in my book if you ask me. And it's not like I have a problem or anything. I can handle being drunk when it's needed.
Walking down the steps I take the keys out  my jean pocket and unlock the car. It was a little after nine and it was a little chilly outside. Walking towards my car I could see the reflection of the moon lighy bouncing off the hood of the car. God how much I loved this car. It was a gray Nissan Altima and it was worth every dollar I spent on it. I spent the entire summer saving up so I can finally purchase it and now that I have it, I am completely satisfied with my choice for a car.
As I hopped in the car I immediately took my phone out my pocket to call Jimmy. Jimmy was probably the closest thing I had to a best friend since we practically had grown up together. I met Jimmy in the first grade when we sat next to each other in class. Those were the days when everything was so simple. Anyways on the first day of school Jimmy came in and sat next to me. When it came time for snack time we all whipped out our lunch boxes on our desk. Back then I had the power rangers lunchbox which was beyond cool in the day and I was shocked when I looked to my left to see Jimmy with the exact same lunch box.
"Dude. We have the same lunchbox. You like power rangers?" I said to him.
"Of course. Power ranger rock." He said back with a grin on his face.
Ever since that moment Jimmy and I became super close. Growing up we did a lot together from basketball teams to camps and summer sports. And now look at us. We're still going strong in our senior year.
I picked up the phone and called Jimmy. After about three rings he picked up the phone.
"Who's ready for the party tonight?" He says all excited.
"What party? I was just calling to see if I left my blue sweater at your place." I say trying to pretend like I didn't know about tonight.
"Shut up. How far away are you from my house.?" He says.
"I just hopped in my car so I'll be there in about seven minutes. Be outside when I get there so we can hurry up and get to the party."
"Alright. See you in a few then." He says and then hangs up.
After about seven minutes I arrived at his to see him sitting on his front porch holding a gray flask. He was wearing jeans with boat shoes and a gray collar shirt. Walking to the passenger side of my car I can already see that he has been drinking and when he opens the door and sits down I can smell the alcohol on him.
"Started without me I see." I say as I take the flask from his hand and take a sip.
"Nothing wrong with a good pregame." He says as he takes the flask back and takes another sip.
"What ever. Lets go. We still have to stop at the store to get some booze to bring to the party. Don't want to show up empty handed."
"You right. Off we go then."

Getting liquor can prove quite a challenge especially if your a minor but theres some places that will sell to you if your cool with the people that work there and it just so happens that I know a place like such. As soon as we walked into the store we walked straight to back where the alcohol section is. I pulled to bottle from the refrigerator and headed towards the counter to see my good friend John was working tonight.
John was a tall bald man with a beard and looked like he was in his late twentys. He's one of the only ones in Haverhill that will sell to minors if your cool with him. I put the bottles on the counter and took out my wallet.
"How's it going John?" I say while I pull cash out my wallet.
"Good. Why is it that you always come visit me on a Saturday night. Can't you get your bottles from anywhere else?" He says with a smile on his face.
"I wish. If you know a place let me know. Im sick and tired of coming to this place." I say jokingly.
"Whatever Sam. The totals eighty dollars."
"Here you go sir. Keep the change." I say as I grab the bag and head towards the door.
As I jump back in the car, Jimmy was on his phone texting someone. I was going to ask him who it was but decided against it started to drive. It was about a ten minute drive to Sarah's house and I couldn't wait to get there.
On the way over to the party Jimmy and I were listening to music and talking. I turned it up and Jimmy had the bright idea to stick his head out the window and scream to the world. It didn't bother me at first but then I realized that I'm a minor carrying booze in the car on my way to a party where there will be underage drinking occurring and the last thing I needed was a cop to pull me over. I told him to keep his head in the car and he laughed and just said I was no fun.
When we finally arrived there was cars parked all up and down on the road. We had to park a little far down the street from the house. Sitting in the car Jimmy and I looked at each other with grins on our faces. We didn't even have to say anything because we already knew what each other was thinking. We hopped out the car and proceeded to walk towards the party.
