“Please Lace,” Jac pouted, “It’s only one night. You don’t actually believe those witches do you?”

“Of course not but,” Lace argued.

“But what? Nothing will happen. Please,” Jac countered.

Jac noticed Lace was going to argue some more so she gave her best pout.

“Pretty please princess. I’ll do anything you want. Please,” Jac moved behind Lace, enveloping her into a hug.

“I’ll protect you,” She said softly.

Lace spun around to face Jac. A hesitant and fearful look on her face. She bit her lip and slowly shook her head, arms loosely rested on Jac’s shoulders.

“Fine,” Lace said. “When?”

Jac squealed, doing a happy dance. Lace watched, smiling softly, wondering if she would ever be able to say no to the blue eyed brunette girl in front of her.

After Jac stopped her happy dance she said, “Tonight. My parents think I’m sleeping at your house and I already talked to your mom. She is perfectly fine with you staying at my house so we can go to the beach tomorrow when we wake up. So go home and pack a bag hun cause you need clothes for tonight and a swim suit for tomorrow. I will go home and get some food, water, flashlights and cloths and then I’ll meet you there in about an hour,” Jac said.

After giving her a quick kiss Jac bounced out of their tree house.

“Geez what did I get myself into? Oh thats right. A big pile of bad. Bad, bad, bad. The witches are mean but the last three years they’ve been in Baywater they have never been wrong. How could I let her talk me into this?” A panicked Lace asked herself.

Once she calmed down Lace realized that if she didn’t leave to get her stuff soon she would be late. Sighing, the raven haired, bright eyed gymnast climbed down the ladder and into her car, and drove to her house.

After getting her things, and saying goodbye to her mother she started driving to the Luthor Manor.

The Luthor Manor, having been abandoned for three years would seem like the perfect place for the teenagers of Baywater to throw parties and do illegal things, if not for the fact that the Luthors were murdered there. Also the maid that found them swears the place is haunted. Bloodstains covered the walls and the floor. Some staining the large chandelier in the middle of the ball room.

The witches, Raz, Neferet, and Talia arrived at Baywater just a few months before the Luthors were found in their house, dead. They caused a splash right off. They were always together and always wearing black veils. They spoke in riddles when they decided someone was worth their time. Which wasn’t often. However when someone was lucky, or unlucky enough, what they said always came true. Which is where Lace’s hesitation to go to the manor came from.

Two days earlier, after Lace finished practice she was walking to her car with her head in her purse, looking for her keys when she literally ran into the witches.

Still looking for her keys she said, “Sorry, excuse me,” not realizing who she was talking to.

Lace tried to talk around them when the one in the middle, Neferet grabbed her arm, stopping her. Finally looking up Lace took a timid step  back after she let her arm go.

“May I help you?” She asked.

“I believe it is not us that needs help, but in fact you,” Talia said.

“What?” Lace was now confused.

“We come with a warning,” Raz said.

They joined hands and Lace watched as their eyes seemed to roll to the back of their heads.
