Tobias (POV)

I finally make it back to the bureau. The only thing that is in my mind is my future with Tris. While the snow is swirling around the car I think about how Tris and I will finally be able to have our family together. We would finally be able to live our life in peace. As the car comes to screeching halt I see one person standing in the snow.
I don't wait for the car to stop I get out slamming the door behind me. I start running but the snow made it hard for me to keep my footing and I fall. I get up shaking the freezing snow off of me. But the person who was standing outside wasn't Tris. It was Cara.
"Where's Tris? Why isn't she out here with you?" I say. My heart starts to race because I start thinking the worse but I know that's not possible.
"Tobias, I'm so sorry."
"Cara, what are you sorry for? Where's Tris? You haven't answered my question!"
She looks at me with tears in her eyes and just by that my suspicions are confirmed.
"Tobias, she took Caleb's place in the weapons lab. When we got there we saw no one but Tris on the ground. She had three gunshot wounds and a sufficient amount of blood surrounding her. We rushed her to the hospital unit as fast as we could but the doctors say that she has a 25% chance of living. I'm so sorry." Cara said as tears were rushing down her face.
"This can't be happening." I say shaking my head in disbelief. "The Tris I know wouldn't leave me ever."
I feel like my head was submerged in water and my body starts to go numb. I don't think I just run everything is moving past me in a blur. But I can't tell where to go everything looks the same.
I finally make it to the hospital and I don't care what the nurses were telling me I burst through the operating room and see something I never wanted to see. Tris, my Tris, on the table pale and almost lifeless, blood everywhere. I shouldn't have left her I knew I shouldn't have. This is all my fault. While the doctors are working frantically to save her I just stand still looking her at her. That is all I'm doing standing still watching the love of my life battle to stay alive.
