* Jughead and Betty host a get together for FP when he returns from prison. All the serpents are there, including Toni. When Toni spills about her and Jugheads makeout to Betty it blows up and becomes a fight. (this probably isn't the fluffy bughead y'all wanted but 🤷‍♀️) *

This is perfect. All is working according to plan. Everyone is happy and smiling and laughing.

Betty serves the guests crackers and cheese while Jughead mingles with his Serpent friends.

Betty only knows Jughead, Toni and FP, which makes this situation a little uncomfortable considering most of these people are men made of muscles who are in a gang together.

She kind of just observes the crowd as they interact with one another. There's a lot of punching of another's shoulder after a joke was said, and a lot of yelling and loud laughs. Good thing they're outside of FPs trailer.

Betty slips away inside for a minute to get away from the smell of cigarettes. But not before Jughead spots her and follows her inside.

"Hey, you." he approaches her in the kitchen.

They share a soft kiss, "Hi" she says pulling away.

"Are you okay? You aren't talking to anyone." Jughead questions.

"Well what do you expect, Jug. In case you didn't notice, these aren't the kind of people that I hang around with and see everyday." She smiles. Her arms around his shoulders, playing with the small hairs that are exposed on his neck where his beanie doesn't reach.

"Oh, really? I thought Tall Boy and you were like besties." he jokes. "He told me about those friendship bracelets you made for each other." the beanie wearing boy went on.

Betty chuckled, "You're hilarious, Jones."

"Hey, Jughead i think your dad wants to see you." Toni announces, entering the trailer without notice.

Jughead nods and turns back to Betty to give her one more peck before leaving to search for his father.

"It's really cool that you and Jughead talked it out and are together again." Toni says.

Betty blushes, "Yeah, i think so."

"And that you're okay with the stuff he and i did the night you broke up with him."

Betty's heart stops. "Huh?" Toni looks up. "What do you mean 'the stuff that he and i did'?"

"Oh he didn't tell you." Toni backs up a bit.

"Tell me what, Toni?" Betty further questions her. Suddenly holding back tears.

"Um. I should, uh probably go." Toni awkwardly takes her exit.

Betty's knees buckle. She feels weak everywhere. If she weren't holding onto the corner of the dinning room table she would sink to the floor.

Thinking the absolute worst, Betty doesn't fight her tears. Almost instantly, Jughead bursts through the front door.

"Hey, are you okay? I saw Toni run out of here." Jughead says, worried. "Why are you crying?" he asks with emotion.

Betty looks up at Jughead, she sees a pair of worried, scared eyes. Instead of saying anything she storms out of FPs trailer, now mad. She avoids everyone else to not make a scene hoping to God that no one followed her.

But, someone did. Jughead did.

"Betty! Please talk to me?" he semi-shouts catching up to her fairly quickly.

"Betty what's going on?" she has stopped running but her back is turned to him. "What did Toni say?"

Trying to get her attention, he tries to turn her around by grabbing her shoulder but at the blink of an eye she's whipped around and two feet further away.

"Don't touch me, right now." Betty growls.

"What the hell did Toni-" he stops, remembering what it could be. Jughead looks Betty in the eyes trying to read her expression, but not much is being given away.

"She didn't specify but i can damn well guess."

"Betty, it's not as bad as it seems. Please believe me." he begs.

"Not even a day." She starts. "For all you could have known, Archie could've just been saying that to you to hurt you. You didn't call. Not one text. But then you-" she stops. Almost like she gives up. She takes a deep breath but doesn't speak again.

"Betty, let me explain. Okay i-i was lost, broken, i had just gotten beaten and i believed the one person i loved and i believed loved me back was gone for good." he fights for her. One small tear slips down his soft, still bruised cheek.

"That's not an excuse, Jughead." Betty says softly.

"No you're right. It's not an excuse and i'm sorry that i didn't tell you before it i knew you'd react this way. I regretted one-hundred percent the moment she stopped it-" Betty interrupts him.

"Hang on. She stopped it?" her voice breaks. She's in complete shock.

Now almost hysterically crying, she asks, "Did you, did you sleep with her, Jughead?" her voice is weak and tired.

"God, no Betty. Who do you think i am?"

"I don't know." she pauses, "You sure as hell aren't the person i fell in love with."

In that moment both of their hearts break a little more than before. That was a direct stab in the heart from the only person he deeply cares about.

She looks at him in disbelief when he gives up fighting. "I'm leaving."

"Are we over, for real?" he barely whispers but she can still hear.

"I honestly don't know. I just need to go home and think for a while." she says, "i'll talk to you tomorrow." and he lets her go without another word.

Jughead feels like he's just watched his whole life get into a car and drive away from him. Not even trying to stop her. He feels as if someone's just punched him in the guts repeatedly and each time it's more intense than the last.
