Chapter One - His World

Today was a day like any other for Rhysand, meaning it wasn't a very good day. His parents were fighting again, and he couldn't sleep because they were SO LOUD. He thought about telling them to just shut up and go to bed, but he knew that wouldn't go over so well with his stepdad. Especially because the man probably wasn't in the clearest state of mind, if the number of empty beer cans were anything to go by. So, he went into the kitchen, grabbed a coke and some chocolate, and headed back to his room down the hall. He burrowed into his bed and thought about what to do to pass the time, and decided on watching some episodes of Supernatural on Netflix. He got his noise-cancelling headphones and turned on the show.

When he got to the part where Dean, one of the main characters, gets captured by a Djinn and taken to the perfect world, Rhysand realized he was REALLY into this show. The downside of that showed up when Dean realized it was all a made-up world and had to shoot himself to wake up. Rhys cried with Dean because he completely understood what Dean was feeling then. Rhys understood that Dean was so tired of life and how unfair it was. Dean had to give up so much, and he keeps sacrificing his happiness to save the lives of people who don't even appreciate it. And that's when Rhysand decided to turn off the show and get some sleep.

When he woke up the next morning, he could feel that something was off. The atmosphere just felt odd, different, but also somewhat familiar. He looked around and suddenly a string of thoughts struck him. He was lying on a couch in somebody elses house, he couldn't remember anything after turning off the show. He couldn't even remember what he did last night!
