LECTURE #1: SIMPLEST CIPHERS/CODES
Marami tayong nalalaman na cryptography, simple, complex and the hardest na minsan ginagamitan pa ng machines just to decode the encrypted messages using the given specific cipher.
Pero ano nga ba ang pinaka simpleng type of cryptography?
a. CHARACTER VALUE also known as A1Z26
> Character Value is simply as counting the alphabets.
Where:
A = 1
B = 2
C = 3
D = 4
E = 5
F = 6
G = 7
H = 8
I = 9
J = 10
K = 11
L = 12
M = 13
N = 14
O = 15
P = 16
Q = 17
R = 18
S = 19
T = 20
U = 21
V = 22
W = 23
X = 24
Y = 25
Z = 26
E.g:
Word: [HI THERE!]
Final: [8 9 20 8 5 18 5]
And the reverse for it..
b. ATBASH
> Abash cipher was originally used to encrypt the hebrew alphabet.
Nevertheless, it is used as a type of a simple cryptograph today.
Where as it is the reversal of the CV Cipher:
A = Z
B = Y
C = X
D = W
E = V
F = U
G = T
H = S
I = R
J = Q
K = P
L = O
M = N
(Vise Versa)
E.g:
Word: [HELLO]
Final: [SVOOL]
C. REVERSE TEXT
> Literal term.
In which babaliktarin mo lang ang lahat ng ittype mo.
E.g:
Word: [WATSON]
Final: [NOSTAW]
D. ANAGRAM/PERMUTATION
> This is used by scrambling a word into another to form the correct and senseful answer.
E.g:
Word: [I AM LORD VOLDEMORT]
Final: [TOM MARLBORO RIDDLE]
E. VANITY CODE
> Another simple code. This is also knon as keypad codes.
0 = —
1 = —
2 = A,B,C
3 = D,E,F
4 = G,H,I
5 = J,K,L
6 = M,N,O
7 = P,Q,R,S
8 = T,U,V
9 = W,X,Y,Z
E.g:

Final: [726632]
