"You're wrong." Daniel takes the orange out of my hand before I had time to yank it away.
Narrowing my eyes I watch as he effortlessly skins the fruit like it was worth something, "Well you're ridiculous." I take the peeled orange from his hand and start picking the slices apart.
I practiced ignoring the look I could guarantee he was giving me now, the one that made me feel incredibly small, and annoyingly warm.
"Hey"
Oh god, here it comes. A voice like liquid thats tortured more hearts then both the Hemsworth brothers combined.
Too bad I was focused on something way more nutritious and way less attractive.
"Come on Luna."
I bore my eyes into the orange until I could feel them start to burn. God damnit.

Looking up, his eyes reminding me always of homemade honey. He grins triumphantly and I'm left feeling, stupid and obviously small.
He stretches out his hand and even the cafeteria table wanted to feel his touch, maybe it felt better than my hand because he just left it there. "I can prove it to you."
I laugh sharply and shove an orange slice into my mouth, "Likely."
"I'm serious, You're planning on going to Banquet tonight right?"
"I mean, not really." Lie, absolute lie. I've been thinking about banquet since freshman year. Daniel knew that too. But he also knows a lot has changed since freshman year. Thats a given really. But on top of the natural changes that came with the wonderful years spent in the toxic halls of CHS, I also found out I was a mistake.
