"You're in a good mood." Pidge comments as you waltz into the kitchen the next morning.

"I am." You sigh, spinning.

Your right foot catches on your left and you stumble, falling into someone's warm arms.

"Morning," Lance murmurs in your ear, and your heart skips a beat.

"Morning," You stammer, blushing.

Pidge raises an eyebrow, looking between you two. She and Hunk exchange knowing glances. "Are you two-" She smirks at you.

You flush as Lance wraps an arm around your waist and says, "Maybe," his face red.

Pidge beams. "Congratulations."

"Thank you," You smile, leaning into Lance. He kisses your forehead and you burn pink.

In the afternoon, you and Lance go to the training room to throw a few punches.

"So what made you want to train with me?" You ask, charging Lance who casually sidesteps you.

"Well, I never train with you and now that we're... dating-"

You blush.

"I want to spend as much time with you as I possibly can." He straightens up, wiping sweat from his brow.

As his gaze meets yours, you notice- not for the first time- the pretty shade of blue his eyes are.

"Also," He continues. "You should really work on getting your strength back."

"I think both of those statements are an excellent idea."

Lance carefully eludes one of your attempted hits and he pulls you to the floor with one smooth twist of his wrist. You stumble to your knees, taking him by surprise as you knock into him. You crash to the floor, Lance on top of you. His legs are on either side of you, his arms planted next to your head. His face is centimeters from yours.

Your breath catches as his eyes flit down to your lips.

"Lance-"

The distance between you closes as he leans down.

The kiss is so soft and sweet. Your eyes flutter closed as one of his hands moves to cup your cheek softly. Your hands are bunched in his shirt, your heart pounding.

He pulls back and looks down at you, adoration and love in his eyes. You're cheeks are burning as he stares down, his eyes taking in every part of your flushed face.

"Don't stare at me," You say embarrassed.

"Why shouldn't I?" He laughs a little. "You're beautiful."

Your face goes crimson and you hit his arm with your metal hand. He yelps and falls backward.

"Don't say such stupid things," You shake your head, sitting up.

Lance scowls, rubbing his arm. "It's true,"

You roll your eyes, although secretly pleased. "Is not."

"Is too."

"Is not."

"Is too."

"Not."

"Too!"

You groan, exasperated. "You're so annoying,"

"Then why are you dating me?" He growls.

You glance at him, your face pink. "I like you." You mumble. "A lot."

Lance turns red and looks away grumbling. "Whatever."

Smiling a little, you kiss his cheek before getting to your feet. You offer him your left hand and he takes it, allowing you to pull him up.

He pulls you into his arms and hugs you, his head resting on yours. "I like you a lot too,"

You bury your face in his shoulder, smiling happily. After a nice, soft moment, Lance clears his throat.

"We should probably finish training,"

"Yeah," You grin, stepping back. "I want to be nice and strong. Or at least, strong enough to bring down my pain in the ass boyfriend."

Lance punches your arm lightly, making a face when he punches the wrong one. "I take offense to that," He teases.

You blow him a kiss and he shakes his head, laughing.

"Tell me about Earth," You say later as you're laying in Lance's arms. The two of you are on the empty and dark bridge, staring out at space.

Lance looks down in surprise. "Really? You want to know?"

"Of course," You glance up at him. "I want to know everything,"

"Well, alright." Lance is silent for a moment. "It's really pretty on earth. There are gorgeous mountains and oceans and forests. I've seen pictures so breathtaking it's hard to believe they're real."

You can hear the faint smile in his voice.

"There all sorts of animals too. Thousands of types of fish and birds and insects. And there are different types of wild cats and dogs, cows and sheep, horses, and so many different rainforest animals. It's kind of incredible really," Lance's voice goes a little quiet.

"What do you miss most about earth?" You ask tentatively.

"Besides my family, the rain." Lance says without hesitation. "I love the rain."

"Rain?" You ask confused.

"Water that falls from the sky in tiny sparkling drops. It's so cool and refreshing. The way it falls on your face and beads up on your skin. The way it soaks your clothes and wets your hair." Lance sighs. "I love the rain." He repeats.

"You'll go home someday," You say gently. "I know you will. I promise you, you're going to go back to Earth someday, Lance. I will do everything in my power to make sure that happens."

Lance chuckles a little. "Keith said the same thing to me." There's a hint of emotion in his voice as he says Keith's name.

"Keith?"

"Mm,"

"What happened between you two?" You question, sitting up so you're face to face.

"Nothing really." Lance shrugs, although he doesn't meet your eyes. "I was in love with him for the longest time, but he met James, his boyfriend, before I could ever tell him." He pauses. "I told him shortly after they started dating and- I kissed him."

"Oh. Was it-" You swallow. "Good?"

"It was amazing." Lance breathes. "It felt utterly amazing."

"Oh." You look down at your hands.

"Hey," Lance puts a finger under your chin. "Look at me."

You blink at him.

"You are the one I'm with right now. You're the one I want to be with, okay? Not Keith. Keith is with someone and I have moved on. All I want is you, okay?"

You nod, lip quivering and you fall into him. Lance squeezes you tightly and kisses the top of your head. He whispers something against your hair, but you don't quite catch it.

"What'd you say?" You sniff.

"Nothing," Lance kisses you softly. "Just that I'm glad I'm with you."

"Me too," You murmur contently.
