Another year has slipping by so fast as we are almost at the ending of September, which meant fall has already stepped in. Permeating the atmosphere with cooler temperatures making sure her presence is felt, stripping the trees of their garment just as Charlisle as stripped his daughter of her life and happiness. Soon there will be winter floating in the air, and everything will be frozen in time and space. Marie-Anna have been frozen for a very long time, just like a figurine sitting on top of a vanity waiting for it's owner to give it a dust once in a while. She has bottled everything up deep down inside her soul until it started to fester on the outside, mirroring the loneliness filled with an empty void burning through her soul stinging her eyes from day to day. Even from millions of miles away Charlisle is still feared by all and as such abides by the rules. The nannies never tried to engage Marie-Anna in any activity wish would have been a relief to her boredom. Vulnerable and fragile to the slightest reaction of life. Nothing or no one to shield her from the pain that pounds in her soul like an erupted volcano. In the mean time leaves of various shapes and sizes are marinating the lawn, in just a few months the trees will lie naked and vulnerable to winter cold days.
The gardeners have been up from around 5:00 this morning working assiduously trying to get the lawn Kempt before the sun stands at its full attention. But with the leaves constantly falling off the trees and the wind picking up speed the poor gardeners were in for a crude awake. Tangoing with the wind to get the yard looking nice and clean; they worked those rakes in a swift and deadly manner try to move one step ahead of their rival. This is not something they had planned for this morning when they set out so by 8:00 they were a little exhausted, sluggishly trying to get the rest of their duties complete before the day ends. The leaves swirled and dance to the rhythm of the wind, then fall back on the lawn in a scatter across, it was a disastrous experience. It dampened the men spirit as they were not able to get their duties complete at their usual time and it took a lot more out of them to gather those leaves. Frustrations sometimes plaster their faces when they attempts to gather the leaves in a pile or heap, despite their challenges they determinedly got it done three hours later.
Today is a little warmer than previous days but not has warm as those summer days gone by. There is nothing unusual happening at the Lumbsden Estate, just the same old boring everyday routine. Breakfast is served at 8:00 and at 8:30 Marie-Anna was off to her piano lessons with Mr David Perez and two hours later her voice training, the only two things which really seems to connect her to the world of living. All these years of voice training and piano lessons yet no one can say they have ever heard Marie-Anna play the piano or sings. What is the purpose of getting these lessons and having a talent that's hidden all the time, one can only speculate that she is very good at them. After lunch at noonday she was back in her room where she remains until it was time for dinner at 3:00. By 5:00 she was getting washed up and at 6:00 she's being served supper in her room, and by 8:00 she is tucked into bed for the night. Even though Marie-Anna was no longer a little girl the stupid rules never changed and even though her dad was away on a business trip for three months they dear not break those rules. Charlisle has driven so much fear in those two old ladies that they try their best not to missed a beat on any of the rules. They made it into a check list which keeps them on track at all times and they never fail to consult to it on a frequent basis. Now that Anna is all tucked into bed nicely Miss Clarobell and Miss Gretchen can finally go home put their feet up and relax in the comfort of their own home without worrying about anyone telling them what they can and cannot do. They were extremely excited to get out of the hell hole they worked in, so as the clock stroke eight they hurriedly tuck Anna in and out the door they dash. But in the stillness of the night Marie-Anna lie wide awake staring at the ceiling waiting for sleep to consume her being and take her to Lala land.
The following morning Marie-Anna was awaken by the thundering voice of Miss Clarobell telling her she needs to get ready for breakfast. She stirred and turn and then forced open her eyes to see Miss Clarobell standing at her bedside nudging at her to get up. Marie-Anna miserably climbed out of bed and slid into her robe that Miss Gretchen held up for her and walked to the bathroom. In about half an hour she renters the room all dressed in a little green spaghetti strap dress which was perfect for the temperature today. Even though it wasn't as warm as yesterday it was still a little warm. When Marie-Anna got to the breakfast table she sat there just staring at the food, she didn't care to eat this morning.
