I was a simple January morning in the middle of a Training. I never really liked listening to such speeches that doesn't have a crap about me. Even my schoomates didn't want to participate to any of it. To be over with boredom, the girls around me decided to talk about one thing I never really liked....
KPOP!
One thing I never understood is KPOP(Korean music)! People like it but thy don't really understand the lyric's meaning. Also their music videos are all sing and dance. VERY BORING!
They began talking and chatting about a certain KPOP boy group. The same group that I see everyday on MYX(MTV channel)
I heard they were really internationally popular! Even in America! And all I can say was WTH! They said this group was really cool...
EXO
I remained silent even though every girl around me is exiciting and very willing to talk about that EXO. I just watched them from exchanging facts and stories about them.
"the hell I care!"
That was all I can say to myself.
Moments later they became quiet! Finally! The speeches kept going on and I still don't wanna listen. I saw my batchmate beside be doing something with her phone. I thought she was playing so I moved a bit but still on my indian sit.
Then I saw that she was looking at an album of boys. She looked at me curiously.
"Is that EXO again, Sofia?" I asked annoyed a bit
"Yes Of course!"
"Ugh! What's so special about those boys?" I simply rolled my eyes as I threw her the question.
She kept on sliding the screen of her phone and then she stopped on a picture of a boy with a black hair.
"This (she pointed out the pic) is Suho he is my bias. The leader of EXO-K"
Even though I hated Kpop groups, I knew what's the deal about Exo-m and Exo-k. How? I really don't know.
I nodded. I can say that the Suho guy is cute/handsome but I still don't like them.
She continued on showing pictures of the members of the group. Then she stopped at a guy with blonde hair. He indeed looks cute.
"This one is Luhan"
"Ohh! THE LUHAN! Heard about him! That dude has soooo many fans!"
She continued on the pictures. I can say some were really good-looking but that won't still change my view about Korean music. Then after a few moments I noticed a picture.
A picture of a boy, more handsome than the Luhan and Suho guy. He definitely caught my attention.
Sofia was about to skip that pic when I absent-mindedly argued and said:
"YAh! Wait! Who is that guy?!"
He was dashing I can say.
"Ahhh! That one is CHANYEOL, the rapper" I nodded.
"So you like him?" Sofia asked me.
"No way!"
I forgot that moment of my life until summer 2014.
~It was really an exciting afternoon seeing my cousins for the fist time after months! My oldest cousin(a college student) was busy at something with her laptop
I peeked. Some people were laughing, scratch that, boys were laughing. My ate Camille left a giggle. I got curious until I realized it was EXO she was watching. A so-called showtime.
They were pretty fun. I had a good laugh on their jokes.
My ate asked me: "Do you know EXO?"
And I was like : "Yeah! That stupid Korean boy group who topped the Myx countdown months ago."
"They're not stupid!"
"Well, I don't anything about them there's just this Cha-Chan..."
She completed my sentence by saying his name "Chanyeol?"
"Yep that one."
I must say my cousin really influenced me. I learned a lot about them. I guess they weren't as bad as I thought they would be.
Slowly.... I become an EXOstan or EXOtic whatever you call the fans.
They were cool by their own way.
Especially this guy~
He made me laugh.
He made me smile.
He made me believe that I should believe in myself.

He's really cool and friendly
