Chapter-5

Gideon's POV :

"You're wearing that to the zoo?" Sofie eyed me with her brows knitted.I look down my black Armani suit,down to my Italian leather smart shoes and I can't find nothing wrong with my outfit.

Today is Sunday and exactly two months after our dinner at my parent's and today is sunday so we decided to go visit the zoo with Jonah.

During the past two months,I spend every free time I had with Jonah,playing,eating and laughing with him.But my favourite was tucking Jonah to bed and reading him bedtime stories.Sometimes,I would stare at him long after he's asleep and again I would struck by the same sadness that Thea miss this.

Thea still look at me,I mean Sofie.Damn,everytime i look at Sofie,its like seeing Thea again.

Sighing in defeat I look at her"So,whats wrong with my outfit?"

"We're going the zoo not in your office.".

"So?".This time,she huff in frustration.She look like a cute little girl.

"So,the zoo will be hot,and you might want to wear more comfortable clothes."

"O.k,I think....I'll go change".I'm a bit confused about what to wear.I never went out except for dinner parties galas and anyway what damn clothes did a man usually wear in the zoo?Comfortable?Okay..I can manage that.I think..I hope so....

A soft giggle brought me out of my inner battle.I look up to see Sofie laughing at me while fixing Jonah's shirt.Her smile is beautiful,just like Thea's.She' always beautiful and now she's gone.

"What's so funny?"I mentally winced that come out harsher that I intended.Her smile suddenly vanished replaced by an apologetic face.N ow,I want to kick myself.Nice move to get her upset,McArthur.

"Sorry.But you look like you're trying to solve a huge math problem not choosing clothes".She replied meekly.

I just nodded and keep my mouth shut to prevent myself from further hurting her and walk past her to the stairs.

Browsing through my clothes,I noticed that most of my clothes were for office,dinner parties and such.I nearly give up when I finally spotted a white shirt and jeans.Haa...finally,don't know I have these.This will have to do.

I hurriedly change and check myself in the full view mirror.Hmm...not bad,I think.I pulled up my sleeve a little.Hmm...Good.

Even if it was'nt,there's nothing I could do.My stylist,or rather Thea's old stylist probably did not order clothes for this particular occassion.Well, I've never have casual outings even when Thea was alive.Even when we go out,its always to fancy restaurants.I make a mental note to inform my secretary to order more casual outfits.

When I went down,Jonah is impatient go and kept asking "Fie,Fie me see lions?".He's so eager,and looking at his happy face,we've come a long way.He's too queit sometimes and that grated me.

"Hey champ,you ready to go.".

"Yes,yes"

I hold out my hand which he instantly hold jumping enthusiastically.

Looking at Sofie,I pointed myself "O.K?".I don't know why I asked her.I don't need her approval,right?..But,I secretly wanted her approval.Damn,I'm a little crazy today.

"You look good now."I raised my eyebrows."Oh!Really?".She visibly swallowed.

"Uhh... I mean not that you don't look good before,you look very good".Now,she's blabbering.Haa..she's really cute when she does that.
